Fabric Rest Api costing and ratelimits

Hi Folks, 

Can someone please share info on Fabric Rest API ?
1. CU consumption, if any ?

2. Rest API rate limits ?

Using the API does not consume any CUs from your capacity.

 

API throttling is per user, per endpoint. 

  • Shortcuts API: 200 requests per minute per operation per user.
  • Data Pipeline APIs (Fabric Data Factory): 10 requests per minute per operation per user

Hi. I don't think the rest api consumes CUs. The operations that you run are the ones consuming. For example, triggering a refresh from API, it's not the API request consuming but the refresh actually running.

You can read how the API is structured in here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/articles/api-structure

Each request has different limitations. Some of them have rate limits and others don't. It depends on each request.
