Fabric Pipelines and setting Dataflow Gen2 Workspace

Does anybody know how on Earth to update the Default destination Workspace on a Dataflow Gen2 (CI/CD) resource that has been deployed via Deployment Pipelines? This has me completely stumped and I feel that it's my last hurdle to having my env deployable.

Should this be updated automatically when the deployment pipeline runs?

Can't use parameters for the Default destination. Can't define deployment rules for Dataflow Gen2 (CI/CD) 🤷‍

If DFG2 is unsupported and DFG2 CI/CD isn't supported in pipeline activity, how the heck are people deploying DFG2 in a multi-stage scenario? What are some of the workarounds that people have to automate this deployment?

Is it possible to pass the workspace ID as a parameter to DFG2 in any capacity - to be consumed as part of the default data destination, or per-item data destination mapping?
