Fabric Fabric Workload DevGateway/Backend Works Only Once After Restart — Then Stops Responding

I'm working with the Microsoft Fabric Workload Development Sample repo. I followed the official Fabric WDK quickstart and set up everything: frontend, backend, and DevGateway.

Problem:

  • My backend runs successfully on http://localhost:5000 (or https://localhost:5001)

  • The first API call works perfectly right after backend start (example: creating a workload item)

  • But after the first request, any further request hangs and times out

  • The DevGateway logs show it's forwarding correctly, but backend doesn't respond

  • Also, PowerShell (running dotnet run) becomes unresponsive after backend starts

Hi @ameen_lumel , thanks for building on Fabric! We need more information to help you. Could you share additional details on your  development environment set up? also, did you have a chance to put a break point in the backend create flow?

If you require more direct system, please open a support ticket or grab slot from our office hours (https://emea.mail.microsoft.com/owa/calendar/WorkloadDevelopmentKitPartnerofficehours@bookings.micro...). Make sure to keep the requestID and the Dev Gateway log.
