I'm getting the following error
Encountered operating system error 5(Access is denied.) while attempting to read physical metadata.

This is suppose to be fixed. There is workaroud on the page: "Try to retry the sync operation to temporarily mitigate the scenario." I have no idea what this means or what to do.
The ownership of DBs (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse) was a service principal. A change of ownership to a user principal with admin permission resolved the issue.

Also, my workspace has been running fine without issues until 7/8/2025.

Additional Info: A service principal is the owner of all DB SKUs (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).

We're experiencing this today in East US for a lakehouse and warehouse. Other lakehouses and warehouses in the same workspace and other workspaces are not affected. Simple SELECT TOP 1000 queries take 20+ minutes and return this same error (Encountered operating system error 5(Access is denied.) while attempting to read physical metadata.) According to Microsoft Fabric service status only Asia Pacific is degraded.
