Design Question: Best Products for my Business Solution?

Hi everyone!!

My company is seeking solutions for our business need described below. Can someone please get me on the right path by listing the MS products we would use and a little bit about why we would use them?

Need: Pull data from a database and run calculations against it. The calculations will be based on rates applied to the values from the database. The rates should be editable at any time. The output of the calculations will be in a report.

Would this work better in Power automate or Power BI? A combo?

THANKS

HI @MattParkins,

You can use data pipeline to ingest data from data source and load to the data warehouse.

Ingest data into your Warehouse using data pipelines - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Then you can use data warehouse or choose tables to create semantic model and design pbi report and Dax expressions.

Create reports in the Power BI - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
