HI ShayanSiddiqueI  , in the exam, you won't find questions like "What roles can you grant at workspace" rather the question are more like "Developer X needs access to perform Y and Z actitivies, what workspace role you need to grant the developer so can do his work respecting the Principle of Least Privilege" ... that said, the theory is important to understand the questions but being a practitioner is equal (if not more) important to understand the escenarios in the exam, this is why I suggest the following: 

• Focus on real-world scenarios: imagining an organization with multiple teams and data consumers, that helps you reason about when to use workspace vs item vs row/column/file‑level controls.

• Practice hands‑on in a sandbox environment , set up workspaces, create lakehouses/warehouses/semantic models, apply different access controls, test access from different roles/users.

• Try version control + deployment pipeline workflows; this exercise helps internalize lifecycle and asset management practices.

• Review documentation section on governance and security for the platform (workspace, item, permissions, sensitivity labels, sharing)  

The practice exam in the Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate  is good to do theory check, but I would not trust to pass the real exam just by passing this practice test.  

I would recommed you to invest as much time doing all the labs and excersises on the Prepare for the exam section!

Create workspaces, attached those workspaces to Git, Push your changes, create pipelines, deploy the stages, publish Power BI reports, ,etc.  in summary, and PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE! Not only you will feel more confortable on the exam, it will do wonder on your work  😁

 Give certiace.com a go, it's a free mock exam site that's been put together by an MVP. It's much closer to the exam than the mock you're taking, containing case studies and more varied, in depth questions.

You’re doing the right thing by repeating the practice assessments — scoring 75–80% consistently is a strong indicator that you’re close to exam readiness.

It’s normal that some questions in the DP-600 practice test don’t map directly to the learning content. The exam often brings scenario-based questions that mix multiple concepts rather than matching the modules 1:1.

Here’s what I recommend:

1. Revisit the official Microsoft Learn paths
Focus especially on:

Securing a Fabric data warehouse

Monitoring and troubleshooting pipelines

Managing governance and permissions

CI/CD in Fabric (very common in the exam)

2. Practice more scenario-based reasoning
Many exam questions require understanding how and why to apply features, not just reading theory.

3. If you consistently score 75–80%, you are likely ready — the passing score is 700/1000.
