Creating a Dataset from a Lakehouse/SQL Endpoint
- 2 years ago
Personally, I have not used the Auto-Report. I tried it a couple of times, but I still prefer to build the report from scratch. Maybe this will change in the future, as I'm sure the technology will develop further. But for now, I am building my reports from scratch.
Sometimes I use a company template report as a starting point for the layout.
Either copy+paste visual elements from the template report into my new blank report.
Or make a file copy of the template report file, and connect it to the semantic model, and then continue developing the report.
Can you try using this refresh icon when you create semantic model? I think it should come after this.
Hi,
I have tried refreshing, but not still able to see any tables
Is being as shortcut tables inside Fabric a reason.
If we cannot create a auto-create report using this, kindly assist what can be the reason and is there any alternative for this to create an Auto-Create Report.
My requirement is to shortlist tables and then choose specific columns for the report.
Kindly assist.
Thanks in Advance

Hi,
Is there any other possible solution for this, to create an auto-report in my case.
My flow of data is from Dataverse to Fabric (as shortcut Tables).
I need to extract only specified tables and moreover some specific columns.
Kindly assist

This worked for me when I tried this some months ago.
Dataverse -> Shortcut (Dataverse Link to Fabric) -> Lakehouse -> Semantic Model -> Report
Not sure why it isn't working in your case. I would raise a support ticket.

Hi,
How about creating a Auto-Report will all the available tables and then manually filtering out.
I have tried that, but it was not as effective as creating using particular tables.
Will the prior one be effective, over the later one?
Kindly assist.
Thanks in Advance
