Create databricks shorcuts into fabric

Yes, absolutely possible — and there are two main approaches that work really well:

1. Shortcuts from Databricks' underlying storage (my personal favorite in this moment)

If your Databricks writes to ADLS Gen2 (Azure Data Lake Storage), you can create a Shortcut in Fabric pointing directly to that storage path. I'm using this in production and it works great:

• No data movement, near real-time access
• Data surfaces as tables in your Fabric Lakehouse
• Delta Lake compatible → Fabric reads it natively in Delta format
• The flow is: Databricks writes to ADLS → you create a Shortcut in your Fabric Lakehouse pointing to that path → done, instantly accessible from Spark, SQL Analytics Endpoint, and Power BI.

2. Databricks Mirroring in Microsoft Fabric

Fabric also has native Mirroring for Databricks, which replicates Unity Catalog tables directly into OneLake. A more "managed" option if you want Fabric to handle the sync automatically:

Continuous replication of Delta tables from Unity Catalog

Data lands in OneLake in Delta format, accessible without additional pipelines

Ideal if you don't have direct access to the underlying storage, or prefer a more decoupled solution

My recommendation: if you have access to the ADLS, start with the Shortcut — simpler, more transparent, and already battle-tested. If you're on Unity Catalog and want something more managed, Mirroring is the cleanest path
