Costs Related to Azure Log Analtics Integration

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help with a query.

We are looking at enabling the Azure Log Analytics connections for workspace administrators setting in our Fabric tenant, but before we do we want to try to understand if there are any costs incurred from the Fabric side.

We understand that there would be costs incurred on the Azure Log Analytics workspace side for ingestion and storage of data, but what about from the Fabric side?

Also, what about between different Azure subscriptions, for example if our Fabric capacity resides in one subscription but the Azure Log Analytics workspace resides in a different Azure subscription. For the purpose of this you can assume everything resides within the same geographic region.

Any help that you can provide would be very much appreciated, especially if you can include links to any documentation/sites that show there would be no costs incurred on the Fabric side.

Hi @markp35 ,

Great question – this comes up often when planning cross-service integrations.

Fabric Side Costs

• There are currently no additional charges from the Fabric side for enabling the Azure Log Analytics integration.
• Fabric simply emits diagnostic logs/events, and the cost is incurred only on the Azure Monitor/Log Analytics side (based on ingestion and retention).

Cross-Subscription Setup

• As long as both the Fabric capacity and the Log Analytics workspace are in the same region, there are no additional data egress charges.
• Cross-subscription logging is supported, but make sure the Log Analytics workspace is accessible from the Fabric tenant (via RBAC or workspace linking).
