Hi Microsoft Community,
I'm having trouble signing into my Microsoft account (a.oomer95@myfreefabric.onmicrosoft.com). When I try to log in, it asks me to approve the sign-in request via the Microsoft Authenticator app, but I'm not receiving any prompt in the app.
Instead, the Authenticator app itself asks me to sign in, and after entering my email and password, it shows the same approval request page as my computer, asking me to enter a number. However, there is no place to enter the number inside the app.
What’s Happening:
When logging in, I get the message as shown in attached img in authenticator app and in fabric home sing in page
“Approve sign-in request – Open your Authenticator app and enter the number shown.”
The Authenticator app does not show a prompt or a place to enter the number.
The option to scan a QR code never appears when setting up my account again.
I don't see any 6-digit verification codes in the app

4) If you go with use a verification method. click on that, Now you can open Authenticator app in your mobile and open your account now you will see the 6 digit code. now enter that code in the mentioned box in the image below.
Now you will be able to sign in your account.
Hope you are clear.
Thanks!
Thank you for your support.
After installing the Authenticator app on my mobile, I attempted to configure it with my email and password. However, instead of providing a QR code, it asks me to enter a two-digit code into the app. At the same time, when I try to sign in on my computer using the same email and password, it also prompts me for a two-digit code to enter in the Authenticator app, which is quite confusing.
As a solution, I tried to find a QR code to scan with my phone, but every method I attempted led me to a sign-in page, which then asked for the two-digit code again.
Additionally, when I tried to access the Security Verification page link to select the Mobile App under the "How should we contact you?" section which some soultion mentiend, I was redirected to the sign-in page once again.
Another thing I noticed is that my other accounts in the Authenticator app appear with a white background, but the account experiencing this issue is greyed out.
Could you please help me resolve this?
Hello @Aala_Ali
Could you pls clarify me, your phone number linked to your account? If yes you will be able to setup Autheticator app.
Otherwise some other phone number linked to your account. You pls check with your admistrator, which phone number is linked to your account.
Thanks
Hello @suparnababu8 ,
Thank you for your support.
The phone number I used to verify my account is registered in KSA, but I have since relocated to Egypt. Additionally, the email associated with my account was created using a free trial from the Microsoft 365 Business Basic plan, so I am unsure whom to contact as the administrator.
I also posted my issue on Microsoft Learn under the Authenticator App tag, but I have not received any replies yet.
Looking forward to your assistance.
Best regards,
Alaa Ali
