CRM Dataverse integration with Fabric workspace using managed identities in Azure

Team, can we integrate CRM Dataverse environment with the Fabric workspace using managed identities in Azure?

Or is there any secure way for integration other than using a user account?

If so, can somone please share the guide.

Thank you.

Hello @DanialAnwaar

Here’s how you can integrate CRM Dataverse with Microsoft Fabric using managed identities:

1. Azure Managed Identity
• Create a user-assigned identity in Azure.
• Add it as an Application User in Dataverse with appropriate roles (e.g., System Admin).
• Use the identity’s Client ID in Fabric pipelines for authentication.

2. Fabric Workspace Identity
• Enable Workspace Identity in Fabric settings (auto-creates an Azure AD service principal).
• Add the identity’s Object ID to Dataverse as an Application User.
• Select Workspace Identity in Fabric pipelines for credential-free access
