Granted access to Managed identity of Azure Synapse Analytics and shared all data in SQL endpoint using below method.

Is there any possible reason why this is happening?

Hi @Avadh , Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.

This is likely cause your Synapse workspace's system assigned managed identity doesn’t have the required item-level permission on the Fabric Lakehouse. Microsoft Fabric requires that any identity, including managed identities be explicitly granted access to the Lakehouse itself, not just at the workspace level.

Go to Manage access in your Lakehouse and manually add the object ID of your Synapse managed identity. Assign it the Read all SQL endpoint data permission. Without this, the authentication will fail, even if everything in your linked service is configured correctly.

Also, the red cross on AutoResolveIntegrationRuntime in your screenshot is a non-blocking UI status issue. Since you're using a managed identity, IR health doesn't impact authentication in this context and can be ignored, it doesn't affect authentication when using managed identity.

Hi @Avadh

Just a qucik questions? In your 1st screenshot Why AutoResolveIntegrationRuntime is in Red cross mark? I'm suspecting you inetgration run time should be up and running and it should be in green tick mark. could you pleae check that?

Please give a try and let me know if it helps you!

Thank you!!

I can confirm that IntegrationRuntime is working, it's just that status shows as "not working".
