Access to Microsoft Fabric Free

I can not create a Microsoft Fabric account. I also tried using my student account, which yields the same result. I messaged my school's IT support, but I didn't receive a response. I am currently preparing for the Data Fabric certification exam next month.

I need help. If anyone can guide me on what to do, or if anyone can help me get access to Microsoft Fabric free.

Thank you.

Hi @emmanuel_ssk , I can help with this  👉 "[...] guide me on what to do, or if anyone can help me get access to Microsoft Fabric free."

On my blog, I created an article with the exact steps to create a Fabric trial account from a hotmail account!

Brilliant! How to get started with Fabric with a Hotmail account

In a nutshell this is what you need to do:

#1. Create a new hotmail account username@hotmail.com

#2. Create a new Azure tenant from portal.azure.com with username@hotmail.com, this will create a new tenant with domain usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com

#3. Loged in as username@hotmail.com, create a new user fabricadmin@usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com, grant the roles Fabric Admin and Global admin

#4.  Login in to portal.azure.com as fabricadmin@usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com  and complete your MFA authentication, wait  minutes to let all changes to propagate

#5. Login to app.fabric.microsoft.com as fabricadmin@usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com this will initiate your Fabric service within domain usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com where fabricadmin@usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com is both Fabric Admin and Global admin!

#6. Once completed, logout and give 30 mintues for all the services are provisioned

#7. Login with fabricadmin@usernamehotmail.onmicrosoft.com  and Start your 60-day Fabric

Hello @svenchio, Thanks for the response. But Azure is not allowing my Hotmail account to create a new Azure tenant. personal account has been blocked from doing so.

Hi @emmanuel_ssk  that's unfortunate, rest assure this process works, I've done it many times and recommended to other people who has been able to do it successfully, so, this seems to be very specific to your hotmail account, perhaps in the past, you created an azure tenant and is not a block but azure preventing from creating a new tenant that already exists? In general, there could be many reason why your account can be blocked (password attemps, failed to set up MFA, etc.) I can give you some pointers of course, but I will definetely need more information. Let me know 😊

I will check on all the reasons you have mentioned now.
Thank you.
