The introduction of file-based destinations for Dataflows Gen2 marks a significant step forward in enhancing collaboration, historical tracking, and sharing data for business users. This development begins with SharePoint file destinations in CSV format, offering a streamlined way to share with users on the SharePoint platform.
File-based destinations allow data to be exported and stored in formats that are easily accessible for business users and analysts. These destinations provide flexibility for organizations to work with data outside of traditional database environments. By enabling such functionality, Dataflows Gen2 aims to support diverse workflows, enhance data accessibility, and cater to users who need effective solutions.
SharePoint files in CSV format serve as the first file-based destination we introduce for Dataflows Gen2. This choice underscores the importance of collaboration, as SharePoint is widely used across organizations for document sharing and team-based workflows. With CSV files stored within SharePoint, users can:

This evolution aligns with the overarching goal of providing users with versatile options for data management and analytics.
