On-premises data gateway July 2026 release

The July 2026 release of the on-premises data gateway is version 3000.326. This new version (3000.326) continues our focus on improving gateway manageability, operational visibility, and enterprise governance while maintaining secure and reliable connectivity between on-premises data sources and Microsoft Fabric services.

Power BI Desktop compatibility

This update brings the on-premises data gateway up to date with the July 2026 release of Power BI Desktop.

This version of the gateway will ensure that the reports that you publish to the Power BI Service and refresh via the gateway will go through the same query execution logic/run-time as in the July version of Power BI Desktop.

    Hi,

    Do you have any plans to address all the vulnerabilities detected in hive-exec-4.0.1.jar (CVE-2026-54515, CVE-2026-50193, CVE-2026-54513)?

    I have updated our test system to the newest version (3000.326.12) but it still contains this vulnerable version of this jar file.

    log4j (CVE-2026-49844) and multipls CVEs about OpenSSL. 

    They are detected by Microsoft Defender.

    Hello,

    Does anyone have any feedback on the July 2026 release (3000.326), please?

    We’re still on the May 2026 release (3000.318) because, from what I’ve seen in the June 2026 release (3000.322), there are several bugs reported by the community—and we have connections to multiple DBMSs: Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DB2.

      I can only speak to the issues related to Oracle connections. People have given information on the workarounds needed, ie changes to config file, to get Oracle connections working. The main workaround for Import Data mode has worked for me in all cases. The workaround for Direct Query connections is hit or miss. I got it working on a newly installed gateway, however a long existing gateway will not take the changes for some reason (I probably have changed some obscure setting at some point thats not playing nice). I have resorted to moving all my Direct Lake Oracle connections to the newly installed gateway until I can work on the existing one.
