Welcome to the June 2026 edition of the Fabric Influencers Spotlight, a recurring monthly post here to shine a bright light on the places on the internet where Microsoft MVPs & Fabric Super Users are doing some amazing work on all aspects of Microsoft Fabric.

The Microsoft Fabric Community team has created the Fabric Influencers Spotlight to highlight and amplify blog posts, videos, presentations, and other content related to Microsoft Fabric.

We’ve cultivated submissions from members of Microsoft MVPs & Fabric Super Users from the Fabric community that cover the Fabric Platform, Data Engineering & Data Science in Fabric, Data Warehousing, Power BI, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Integration, Fabric Administration & Governance and Databases.

Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals, or MVPs, are technology experts who utilize their deep knowledge of Microsoft products and services to bring together diverse platforms, products, and solutions, to solve real world problems, and to bring “leading edge” content to the data community. To learn about the Microsoft MVP Award and to find MVPs, visit the official website.

Fabric Super Users are the heroes of the Fabric Community. They contribute helpful answers, write informative blog posts, post data stories and are key contributors to the Fabric product via engagement with the product group. To learn more about the Super User program, visit the official website.

Blog Post: Building Your First Pipeline in Microsoft Fabric

In this article, we will walk through creating your very first Fabric pipeline from the ground up. We will start by setting up the pipeline and exploring the activities available to us, then move on to scheduling and monitoring. Finally, we will build a complete, end-to-end data movement that copies a file from an Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) account into a Lakehouse. By the end, you will have a working pipeline and a solid mental model of how the pieces fit together.

Blog Post: Mastering Advanced Regex Techniques for Data Science in Microsoft Fabric

In this edition, we’re exploring how advanced regex can help you make sense of unpredictable text fields that show up in real projects. By the time you get through it, you’ll have a clearer way of spotting patterns that other people miss, expressing those patterns in a structured way, and shaping unstructured data into something that finally behaves. You’ll also get a feel for how this kind of thinking changes the way you approach cleaning work overall, because once regex clicks, you start seeing text differently.

Blog Post: Fabric App Documentation Site

This post shows how pairing Zensical, a static site generator, with Rayfin makes it easy to turn plain markdown into a high-quality documentation site that lives right next to your Fabric items. Zensical gives you a huge amount out of the box — live-reload, full-text search, rich navigation, admonitions, syntax-highlighted code, Mermaid diagrams, light/dark mode, and math — while producing a deterministic, reproducible build instead of the one-off, drift-prone output you'd get from vibe-coding HTML with AI. The post walks through the full setup: dependencies (with an optional devcontainer), Fabric tenant prerequisites, and deploying via rayfin up, including a ready-to-use zensical-docs template submitted to awesome-rayfin.

Blog Post: Perform CI/CD for Fabric apps with Azure DevOps

This post covers how you can perform CI/CD for Fabric apps with Azure DevOps to deploy efficiently with a fully working YAML pipeline.

Just to clarify, Fabric apps were announced at Microsoft Build three weeks ago. The idea is that you work with the developer toolkit called Rayfin to develop your application of choice locally, which you can then publish as a Fabric app in a Microsoft Fabric workspace.

Blog Post: From Signals to Insights: Bengaluru Smart City Traffic Updates with Fabric Real-Time Intelligence

In this blog, we will build a Bengaluru Smart City Traffic Updates Dashboard using Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence. We'll simulate live traffic signals from major Bengaluru junctions, stream events into Fabric, store them in a KQL database, and create an interactive real-time dashboard that provides actionable traffic insights. By streaming events into Fabric and leveraging powerful analytics, you’ll see how raw signals can be transformed into actionable insights for smarter urban mobility.

Blog Post: One SQL Anywhere – Part 2: Copilot in SQL Database, and It's Actually Good

Continuing from Part 1 where we set up a SQL Database in Microsoft Fabric, loaded the AdventureWorksLT sample data, and explored the SQL Analytics Endpoint. Part 2 talks about Copilot inside the SQL query editor.

Video: Microsoft Fabric Apps Tutorial - How I Built a Fabric App with Copilot

Microsoft Fabric Apps are here, and yes, you can now build a full web dashboard on top of your semantic model using AI. In this video, I walk you through the whole process: enabling the right admin settings, setting up a Fabric App with the Rayfin CLI, and prompting GitHub Copilot to build a dashboard from scratch.
