The Microsoft Fabric Workload Development Kit is now officially available to all users. This feature allows you to extend Fabric with additional workloads and offers a robust developer toolkit for designing, developing, and interoperating with Microsoft Fabric using frontend SDKs (Software Development Kits) and backend RESTful APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

Workload Developers
Workload developers, with this release we introduced many new capabilities which also drive platform alignment and a better experience for your users.
Multiple Developers on a Single Capacity
We've heard our Partners loud and clear! With this release, multiple developers can now utilize the same Fabric capacity for workload development without needing to be capacity administrators. To develop a workload, simply create a workspace where you are the workspace admin and assign any Fabric capacity to it. This will enable you to register your local machine workload seamlessly.
Item creation and Job-To-Be-Done
Workload item types can now be included in up to 2 job-to-be-done categories that will be associated with the item type. Including job-to-be-done categories will discoverability of Partner's items when creating items from the workspace or task flows.

Multi-tasking
Partner workload items can now define multi-tasking behavior, enabling Fabric users to utilize partner items simultaneously with other Fabric items.

Enhanced OneLake Catalog Support
Partners are now able to use the OneLake Catalog to prompt for their own items, as demonstrated in the sample workload. This enhancement allows partners to take advantage of the established and well-regarded Fabric item selector for all items.
Help Pane Support
The help pane now includes a link to partner help materials, enabling customers to conveniently access support and resources.
Publishing governance
Admins now have the ability to manage the availability and visibility of workloads that have not been validated by Microsoft. This provides Fabric admins with complete control and the option to participate in limited releases of partner workloads.
Monetization patterns
The Fabric UX system provides a comprehensive guide for designing workloads, offering examples and components in React and Angular to assist users in starting their projects. It includes monetization patterns for partners to use, ensuring a consistent purchasing journey for users.

We are pleased to announce that the Fabric Workload Development Kit is now generally available. We are thrilled to introduce our HERO partners who will be releasing their workloads in the coming weeks.
The workload hub allows you to view all available workloads within Fabric. Each workload offers unique item types that you can create within Fabric workspaces. To access the workload hub, navigate from the left menu.
