slicer has gone blank

Hi guys, Every time I refresh my dataset I lose all values in my months slicer/filter. I need to re-publish my report into the BI platform but once again, if I refresh it, it only shows a select all and a blank field. The Other slices do not seem to be affected (year and day of month)

In Power BI desktop: 1. I have a existing date field in my data so I add a new column month (int) 2. In my report I add a slicer object and add the month column as the field. This then alows me to filter my data by each month 3. I do the same for Year, WeekOfMonth and Day. 4. I then publish this to power BI. In powerBI: The newly published report is present and the filter is correct. When I refresh my dataset The filter breaks and just shows blank.
