scheduled export of a report to pdf

It would be nice if there is an option to have a scheduled export of a report to PDF. A nice to have feature would be to directly e-mail it to people so they are being notified of the latest report.

we need this feature as well. We need to be able to schedule reports (not necessarily dashboards) in excel and PDF. Our current solution allows this and we are considering moving to Power BI.

The key thing for us is to be able to: 1. Export high-quality PDFs with control over margins, etc. (currently adjusting print settings can easily throw things off, forcing you to make changes to the print settings, then close/cancel and return so that your adjustments are recognized by the format is not off); 2. Export all pages of a Power BI Dashboard, once it is opened in report view (? i.e., when pages of the Dashboard become tabs), via File > Print. Now the only option is print current page, but it would be good to be able to print all pages.

Ideally, I'd be happy with similar functionality to the PowerPoint export feature. Export to PDF would generate a paged, landscape PDF file with a page per report tab. Big feature component: being able to do this programmatically with the APIs, maybe even with the possibility of requesting that a particular report-level filter is set, so we could do programmatic report export for various clients.

Hi Sirui, we need always full report (multiple pages) as PDF. We have tables with product images in the first column, some product details in the next columns and sales/sold time turnover figures per product. these might be several hundred up to 3-5000 products. Also to have repeater table reports would be helpful as we could place the records maybe 3 columns and 4 rows per page to save pages/space. If we could group per customer/shop that would be ideal then - basically same report features you already support in Access. We have JDE and Cognos but are looking for a faster and more flexible report/analysis tool than Cognos.

We provide with PowerBi a Monitoring Service to our clients. We would like to send the reports (multiple pages in the same report) trough automated email (for example 1 time per week) to multiple people (our clients.). We would really appreciate that.

Hi Sirui! I'm so happy that this feature it's under review. From my standpoint, I would like to be able to do a simple function of "Save As". It could be a page or the entire report. Part of this request is also to be able to "schedule in the future" the report to run and send via email as PDF.

We use Power BI for monthly reporting now (many of which are over 15 pages long) and we have a regulatory need to export the pack as is each month according to the monthly meeting schedules. Currently, we are literally screenshotting each page / bookmark every month, sometimes multiple times a month per report in order to support this need. We need to be able to export the entire report (with an option to use either bookmarks or pages to define each page to export) into a PDF. The PDF needs to look exactly as it looks on screen. Currently, we can only PDF a single page or export to PPT up to 15 pages, both options completely messing up the format of the page. An additional feature that would make this even better is the ability to select a format (the same way we can when printing PPT - Full Page Slides, 2 Slides, 3 Slides, etc. but pages or bookmarks instead of slides). Also, this needs to be available to all users (viewers as well as creators of content) so creators aren't stuck exporting reports on behalf of users. Thanks!

Having the choice of printing an entire page (in current state) vs report would be valuable! My company is currently exploring visualization software options. Ability to "publish" or save in a manner that the report remains interactive, but cannot be (permanently) modified is most helpful - finding cases of a chart not displaying properly because a filter was saved. Being able to PRINT TO PDF is useful for meetings. I have only been working with Power BI the past week & a half, but I am already way ahead in skills than with a competing software I have been using at least 6 months.
