I agree, if you need a unique identifier in a visual, but don't want to display something that could be uniquely identified to an individual, row number/counter is useful. For example, if you need a unique identifier, but don't want to display employee ID, account number, or name, row number would be very useful.

I agree. We need a simple way to add row numbers as shown in Excel. Having to create a measurement is too complicated for a basic feature. Please add this as soon as possible within the next update as it is commonly used and necessary for some.

This feature shouldn't be hard to implement, though very helpful. The measure workaround doesn't seem to work when having joined tables.
