This problem means our company who was about to shift to using Power BI may not be able to do so! Please disable the folding option by default ASAP! Can later provide a setting option but as a default, this needs to be disabled or I simply cannot work and our company may not be able to use Power BI.

Please fix this issue ASAP. Trying to promote Power BI in my organisation and this puts things in an awkward position as I can't work efficiently with PostgreSQL.

I found a workaround for this, but this needs sorting urgently! Enable folding should be FALSE by default, the same as it always was. I think this should actually be logged as a bug not an idea. My workaround is to find a pbix file which already has a connection to the database I need, and amend the SQL in the editor. It's very messy though!

I don't even understand why the Power BI team chose to implement the feature that way? Of course inserting placeholders #(tab) and #(lf) is a bad idea. It's going to break all the queries when you paste them back to a native SQL client (pick your flavour). Why not just insert normal tab and line feed cariage return chars? Am I missing something here? Using the built in chars that are part of the ASCII table would just work it would be displayed fine in the advanced query editor, it would copy and paste nicely to another editor, and you would need to process the query to replace the placeholders before refreshing the data?

This is a critical piece. Without the ability to access my Snowflake data warehouse directly, i am going to need to seriously reconsider using Tableau

This choice really needs to be implemented. Since the true value is already implemented it immediately invalidates all cases where that option should be false. I can't connect to PostGres tables with a query after the update and PowerBI tells me to turn off 'EnableFolding' which of course I can't do.
