Add option to update custom visuals when new versions are posted. Since PowerBI is on a monthly release schedule, new updates frequently break custom visuals that I like to use. Many times the custom visuals are updated after the PowerBI update, however we have to manually update them. It would be nice if we were notified that a new version was available, we could then also be provided with the option to update. This would work exactly like when I log into PowerBI desktop today, if a new version is available I am prompted to update. It would also be nice if there were documentation associated with the custom visual (how to use, expected data, etc...) as well as change logs.

- nishalitNew MemberThanks for your input and feedback! Could you elaborate on this? Do you need a way to know when the version is automatically updated or a way to stop automatic updates. because Power BI visuals from AppSource library are updated automatically when a new version is updated in the AppSource.
- ddennisonNew MemberI was visiting the custom visuals gallery today and was surprised how many I had that were out-of-date. Would LOVE a notification feature when an INSTALLED visualization is updated...
- loufarhoNew MemberTotally agree with this idea. I think it goes hand in hand with the other idea of the visual being a part of Power BI Desktop and not separated into the model.
- fbcideas_migusrNew MemberAny chance of getting the version number added to the visuals list that appears when one enters the gallery initially? It's really a pain to have to click on each visual to see its current version number to see if an updated visual exists.
- AbisivasubramanNew MemberCompletely Agree with this!!We are having issues to identify the hierarchy slicer version as it's not appearing on the subscriptions email. I can't find out whether we are using the latest version or older one. We need version number for the custom apps.
- pbiideas1New Memberhaving issues with Infographic designer and noticed the version was not the current release. With the amount of Custom visuals growing this would seem the ideal solution.
- David_BotzenharNew MemberThis is needed for Enterprise Adoption.
