locale

I would like the ability to specify different locales for different Import sources in PowerQuery , I now have issues importing multiple sources with differently formatted date/time formatting ( ie Dutch & US English & Japanese ) into the same workbook. While there are work-arounds, they are a pain to implement or use

Did you take a look at the "Change Type Using Locale..." operation in the column context menu? That will let you specify a different Locale than the document-wide locale setting if needed, for specific Column Type conversions. How would you like to see this feature improved in the Designer / Power Query?

Hi, I did find that feature. I do like to make 2 comments. First, strangely this feature is not present when selecting the datatype in the ribbon. Only on right clicking the column in the query designer. Second, ideally there's an advanced menu item when importing a file where I can select the locale of a file. This way you don't have to set this per column. Thanks
