When I want to connect live to a SSAS cube I don't get the option, the choise is almost jumping to IMPORT DATA instead of LIVE CONNECTION. Any idea how to solve this ?

In this case you need to have a Enterprise or a Business Intelligence Edition of the SQL server. Live connection is supported for standard edition of the SQL2016.
