live connection

When I want to connect live to a SSAS cube I don't get the option, the choise is almost jumping to IMPORT DATA instead of LIVE CONNECTION. Any idea how to solve this ?

Try providing Cube Name (explicitly) in Database(optional) field then select - connect live

First of all you have to have a SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU4 or newer. Second it does not support SQL server standard edition on SQL2012 and SQL2014. In this case you need to have a Enterprise or a Business Intelligence Edition of the SQL server. Live connection is supported for standard edition of the SQL2016.
