input fields

What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly and easily interrogate the data

This would actually be super helpful from a presentation point of view, so for instance if someone in public health sector is presenting current spending and associated economic benefits for a specific intervention, they can change the spending on the fly and demonstrate the impact. Would be really nice to have this!

Absolute must have. Needed in so many use cases to demonstrate what if scenarios and many other criteria where the user needs to interact with the data by modifying a control variable.

For datasets with lots of values, it is impractical to use a slicer to down-select the data of interest. For example, say you have a customer you want to view with several related data sources. Instead, you would be able to type in a code or name for a customer, and all of their available data setup in the visualizations would display.

You should add the possibility for the user to add data to change the report. For example : an inputbox where the user put the percentage of fees for simulations and it changes the final amount

Having an input field to use as a filter for the data. I.e. If you were to input a percentage it would then apply that to a numerical column. Additionally allowing for filtering by category, i.e. say you have two percentages, one for "Domestic Sales" and one for "Intl Sales" (and Dom/Intl is a category column) it would apply the different percentage inputted in the dashboard for each category to the corresponding numerical column/data.

add a free-text box for search information on pre-selected collumns of a data source. working as any other filter but instead of making the reader look for the data to filter, he/she inputs the data, which it would fasten the reader to get the information it needs. filtering the dashboard through the input data written by the reader.

Please add this input user visuals.

I know it is possible to implement partially this feature using the What-if paramers. However, a restriction prevents from writing number outside the range 0 to 1000 and the parameter value will be sampled.

I don't think Visual text filter is the same as being able to embed form functions. Please add a feature to let dashboard users add or correct data too.
