Incremental data refreshes are a huge time saver in Tableau when working with large imported data sets. Without the incremental refreshes, it is not practical for me to switch from Tableau to Power BI. I can't wait for complete data refreshes everytime I need the latest data in Power BI.

under review ... more then 1,5 years 😞 ! Last 3 updates bring some good news, but incremental update (well known in SQL) and for example TOP filters will be excellent !

We are not sure why Azure DW should be used if atall if there is not incremental upload. Someone in the comments has rightly put the cost of the on basis DWU and its really shocking to know that every refresh would be burning hole in my clients pocket !!! Also if i use other sources like SSAS / Tabular with direct query it restricts me from creating any Measures and Calculated columns. So i dont get it how exactly are we intending to use powerbi in large datasets & scale out structures ??

Tableau supports this and the data model becomes very efficient to process. It's a must have functionality for someone to move from tools like Tableau....

1.5 years under review. So disappointing. This feature is a must!
