Request to replace generic error with more specific information on a error.

 

Dataflow refresh job failed with status: Failed. Error Info: { errorCode: JobInstanceStatusFailed, message: Job instance failed without detail error, requestId: 6ef18037-873a-48f4-844a-a6e797700704 }

 

 

 

 

Status: Need Clarification

@Anonymous  could you share more where you got this error message? Was it for a Dataflow Gen2 without CI/CD in the Power Query editor? in the "Refresh history" / "Recent runs" dialog or was it perhaps in a different integration like the Dataflow activity in pipelines or the REST API?

It is impossible to diagnose issues with such generic error messages. It doesn't even tell if the error is due to an internal service issue, or due to something with the datasource. Data cannot always wait for the service to "try again" a couple hours later, when the audience is relying on up-to-date data. "Error: We encountered an error while performing the refresh. Please try again. If the issue persists contact Support."
