Hi, I've been using Power BI for the past two years and wanted to suggest an important improvement. My data is in Hebrew, which is a right-to-left language, but currently there’s no way to align values automatically in tables and matrices based on text direction. Parameters are immensely useful. It is OK to refresh them when I open the dashboard. But my preference is that their values would be cached from the preview session and available immediately, so I can choose them quickly, instead of waiting for the full page to render while the cluster is busy answering many other queries.   First show me the previous values, and when you manage to refresh the query that powers the drop down refresh the cache and the drop down values. Just don't make me wait until all the page renders, especially when I am likely to change the parameters and relaunch the page queries.  ... View more

There’s a known limitation when using calculation items in slicers. When a user selects a single calculation item, any unrelated measure on the page — like a title measure or a measure that returns text — ends up showing the result of that calculation item, instead of its intended output. The usual DAX functions like SELECTEDVALUE or VALUES don't work as expected with calculation groups. Also, excluding unrelated measures by adjusting the calculation items DAX's like using ISSELECTEDMEASURE & IF is not an scalable solution, and it makes the calculation item DAXs much more complex. One common workaround is to create a separate table with the same metric names and use that for slicers. For this purpose, a relationship is required between this proxy table and the Caclution Group table which is currently unavailable in Power BI. 🔎 Problem: Report creators are unable to see measure definitions in connected datasets When someone opens Power BI Desktop and connects to a dataset that’s already published to PowerBI.com, they can build a report using the available fields and measures—but they can’t see the DAX behind those measures. That’s a real limitation. Most models have a lot of measures, and without knowing how they’re defined, it’s hard to understand what they’re doing. Even if the report creator built the model themselves, they might forget. Databricks describe their free tier as for 'students, educators, hobbyists, and anyone interested in learning or experimenting with data and AI'.
