I'd like to suggest adding functionality that allows users to hide specific data entries from the chart legend without removing the data from the visual itself. For example, if the legend displays brand names, I may want to retain all brand data in the chart for accuracy and completeness, but exclude the minor or less relevant brands from appearing in the legend to reduce visual clutter. In Power BI Service, we are using the “Personalize this visual” feature to allow end users to explore and customize standardized reports. However, we’ve noticed that when users add a new field (attribute) to a Matrix visual using this feature, the row subtotals — which were explicitly disabled by the report developer — get automatically re-enabled. This causes confusion and inconsistency in the report layout, especially when subtotals were deliberately turned off for readability or business logic reasons. We understand this is the default behavior, but it would be very helpful to have one of the following options: A setting to preserve the subtotal configuration from the original report, even when users personalize visuals. In each report page settings, there should be an option to write a 'Page description' (much like the Page synonyms option).  I have mocked up the appearance of this section above.  Then, if we use the 'Page Navigator' visual, we should be able to enable the tooltips.  When hovering over each button/menu item, tooltips would display the description of that page, as it was specified in the 'Page description' section.  Please refer to the mockups above which I created.  I believe it is crucial for accessibility purposes, and is a frequent request of my customers, which I currently cannot fulfill.  This seems like a relatively simple addition for Microsoft to develop.  Thank you in advance.   ... Currently, in a copy data step it is not super clear that a partition column name must be provided when using a custom query. I ran into this issue and didn't realize it was required until I recieved a runtime error.  Can the copy data form be updated to show the "partition column name" field as required if the "Use query" option is toggled to "Query"?     ... Business Problem: For enterprise departments, data governance and security are paramount. We rely on DirectQuery with Single Sign-On (SSO) to enforce granular, source-level security on our most sensitive data (e.g., in Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Azure SQL). While this architecture is powerful for security, it creates a significant bottleneck in our development lifecycle. Currently, the "Test as role" feature in the Power BI Service is incompatible with SSO-enabled DirectQuery sources. This prevents our developers and analysts from being able to efficiently validate the security context of a report before deployment. Current Limitation & Workaround: The current workaround involves provisioning dedicated test user accounts, managing their permissions in both Power BI and the underlying data source, and performing manual end-to-end testing by logging in as each user. This process is cumbersome, slow, does not scale well, and significantly increases the friction and time required to deploy or update critical financial reports. Proposed Solution: Enhance the Power BI Service to allow authorized administrators and developers to use the "Test as role" functionality with SSO-enabled DirectQuery models. This would require a trusted impersonation or delegation mechanism where the Power BI Service can simulate a user's identity through to the data source for the express purpose of testing. I'd like to propose the addition of a "Close, Apply, and Refresh All" option within the Transform Data panel in Power BI Desktop.   As part of our ongoing cost-efficiency initiative, we’ve transitioned our enterprise cube into Power BI data models, leveraging native queries and query folding to optimize performance. With incremental refresh enabled, we must update the RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters and refresh all data prior to publishing. This step is critical—if skipped, the web-based Power BI service initiates a full refresh post-publish, resulting in a 30–60 minute lag where visuals may appear blank or error-prone, disrupting the user experience.   Currently, after updating the parameters and selecting Close & Apply, only the tables with incremental refresh configured are updated. To fully synchronize the model, we must then manually trigger a second refresh for the remaining tables—effectively doubling the wait time.   Introducing a "Close, Apply, and Refresh All" option would streamline this workflow by consolidating both steps into one. This enhancement would: Reduce total refresh time and manual intervention. Improve publishing efficiency. Essentially, the idea is to have a place to add extended metadata properties on any Fabric item (and possibly even workspaces).   The particular use case that I wanted to address was to have a place to record the results of periodic "fitness for purpose" reviews of reports and infrastructure.  These would permit us to focus our resource towards items that needed it most.  To do so, we would like a place to record not only the result of the review (e.g. RAG status) but also the timestamp of the review.   In SQL Server land I generally would have turned to extended properties to do this but there seems to be no comparable structure in Fabric. Tags aren't flexible enough, being only text.  They're also too visible for this sort of administrative need.   Endorsement is a little closer to what we are trying to achieve, but cannot be customised, and there is nowhere to associate a datetime.  Seems a bit optimistic to expect that an endorsement wouldn't degrade over time as the business changes.   I would ideally like something much more general purpose: Completely customisable key-value pairs Supporting all the usual data types Ability to choose visibililty of these I think there would be a lot of other use cases that could benefit from this, aside from the one I have specified above.  And it honestly could simply replace tags and endorsement. ... Currently the maximum size of an image that can be included in a matrix column is 512px x 512px. It would be great if this limit could be removed or changed - sometimes (especially when not using the default resolution) we need bigger images in a column and the 512px limit is very restricting. ... Fabric allows you  to see a listing of artifacts in a workspace.  But doesn't give the user critical information - specifically with Gen2 dataflows the user should be able to see   - The last referesh date time - The status of the last refresh (Failed, Successful, In Progress) - The duraction of the refresh   Don't hide this from the user and force them to click on the '...' and select "recent runs" - and then have to keep clicking on the 'refresh' button to see this critical information!!!!!!!!! ... In the Power Query interface for Gen2 dataflows there is no way to easily spot errors in the data.  If you've got lots of columns in a table you need to scroll through them and examine the contents to try to find the errors.   Please provide a simple indicator in the UI to address this.   Something like a warning message in the footer of the UI that says "Error in Column(s)".  Then allow the user to hover over this to see a list of columns that have errors. ... Each time an applied step is added or modified in a Gen2 dataflow the entire project logic is being refreshed.   This absolutely kills productivity.   For example, if I have 20 fields that I need to rename, my project forces me to wait between each rename step to refresh its data. If it takes a minute to refresh (which is not atypical), there goes 20 minutes of my day - for a step that should take me about a minute.   Please provide some kind of control to allow the user to make this manual.    This would be analogous to Excel's 'Calculation Options > Manual'  feature   Thanks ...
