Hello, I lead the technical team on a company which developed a product called "Kulpa" (www.kulpacloud.com), to aid victims of crime to record and share their evidence with the police. The evidence captured by Kulpa is legally admissible. A few police forces in the UK are already using it successfully.   But, of course, they requested to have the cases information on their Power BI reports. As such, we developed a Power Query Connector to do so.   I've noticed here (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/empowering-our-customers-to-shape-the-future-of-data-connectivity-in-power-bi-and-microsoft-fabric/) that Microsoft closed the certification program, and I was hoping to have it certified in order to not have to deal with the hurdles of police forces to deal with installing on-premises gateways to enable refreshes.   How can we work with Microsoft to certify the connector?   Looking forward to hearing from you.   Thank you and all the best Jorge Galrito ... The ability to parameterize the connection would enable using separate identities (e.g. separate service principals) for dev/test/prod environments.    Having to use the same SPN in dev/test/prod introduces unnecessary risks, like accidental data modification across environments - a dev workload accidentally writing to production data, or a production workload accidentally connecting to and using data from the dev environment.   This would be solved if we could use variable library to reference the corresponding connection id for dev/test/prod service principal.   Unfortunately, the connection property in pipeline's notebook activity does not support Dynamic Content yet.   Please make this possible so we can avoid the risk of cross-contamination between environments. ... In the workspace flyout list, I wish to filter workspaces by: Project Tag Deployment stage Tag (feature, dev, test, prod, etc.) I'd love being able to create workspace tags within tag categories (e.g. Project, Deployment Stage), so I could create a set of tag values for Project name and a set of tag values for Deployment Stage. Then I could easily filter the workspace flyout list to only see workspaces that belong to the feature stage, and only see workspaces that belong to a specific project.    A project may have 3-6 workspaces (store, engineering, PBI, integration, orchestration, etc.) multiplied by the number of deployment stages (dev, test, prod) so this easily adds up to 10-20 workspaces in each project. With the number of workspaces growing into the hundreds, users need a way to organize the workspace list to fit their own development workflow.   The flyout should allow each user to create custom groups for related workspaces - for example, one group per project, where each project may contain around 10 workspaces. The source control panel within a lakehouse lists all notebooks that are new or updated and its not easy to tell at a glance which one(s) you are looking for.  The only fields available are the Item name and Status, and the full name is not visible without hovering over each when there are several similarly named items.     They do not appear to be listed in any kind of date or name sequence, and it is not possible to widen the panel or scroll horizontally to see the full notebook name. Ideally it would be possible to make this panel configurable in size (full window width would be great), and provide extra meta data columns such as the timestamp and user for the last edit, the parent folder, and allow searching/filtering/sorting on these additional columns.  This would make it easy to find and process items when there are many outstanding changes. ... The checkbox color is determined by system defaults and is not affected by theme JSON or visual formatting options. This limitation can lead to accessibility and readability issues, especially when slicers are placed on backgrounds with strong colors (e.g., deep red), making the default checkbox color difficult to see. It's necessary to find a native method to hide pages from specific users without having to create two or more different reports. This way, with just one report, different people within the company could see both shared pages and those belonging to specific groups. Currently, there's a non-native method using RLS, but it has several bugs: firstly, page navigation is only possible via a dropdown list, and it doesn't allow for a button menu. Secondly, if someone with permission has left a folder selected in that menu, those without permission can also see what's left, requiring complicated rules to prevent this. After the project is published, if the report is exported to PDF, the hidden pages can be viewed. There's an option to prevent exports, but some clients need these exports. Therefore, this is a key security issue that needs to be resolved. In Power BI, when I insert a new text box the default font is Segoe UI size 10pt. There is a new bug that is driving me bananas.  Every time I hit the return key to make a new line, the font resets to Segoe UI 10pt. Even if I select-all, change the cursor itself to 12pt. It would be incredibly helpful if Power BI allowed users to share a specific filtered view of a report. Right now, I can open a report, adjust the filters to create the exact view someone needs, and save it as a personal bookmark—but that bookmark is only visible to me. I’d love the ability to save that filtered state as a shareable bookmark and send it to another user without having to engage power BI developers to save the bookmark state as a "global" selection. Fabric currently supports custom Environments for PySpark notebooks, but Python notebooks (preview) cannot use them. In Python notebooks, the only available kernels are Python 3.10 and 3.11, and the only way to install packages is via %pip install, which is session‑scoped, not reproducible, and not aligned with Fabric’s managed environment model. This creates a major gap for teams who want consistent dependency management across both PySpark and Python workflows. Adding Page-Level Conditional Formatting Rules in Power BI, a feature that allows users to define one rule and have it automatically applied across all visuals on the page. Ideally, it should also support applying the rule across all fields in a row for consistent, row-level highlighting. I’m suggesting this idea because I’ve personally struggled with managing conditional formatting efficiently in my reports. When I need consistent highlighting across a dashboard, for example, marking negative values or high-risk records, I have to repeat the same formatting steps visual by visual and column by column. This becomes time-consuming and hard to maintain. This feature would also help address another limitation: Power BI currently doesn’t support row-level conditional formatting.
