Eventhouses have a query URI which doesn't contain the name of the eventhouse (e.g. https://trd-k54tu9rfpz168xehtx.z6.kusto.fabric.microsoft.com/). This query URI is used to communicate with the Eventhouse with the SDK or connectors (e.g. Open Telemetry connector).   It is therefore quite possible to have such a URI inside a config file without knowing where (i.e. which workspace / folder) the actual Eventhouse sits (e.g. somebody configured it and left the company since).   The global search currently doesn't work with a query URI, but that would be useful. ... Currently, parameters defined in a Fabric Notebook’s “Parameter Cell” need to be manually re-entered when creating or editing a Fabric Data Pipeline. We use the no presnce of data in the activator object to notify us if files has not arrived.   However since many of these files only come once a day, some are only sent during working days, sometimes it can be delayed by a few seconds to a few minutes, this however causes the "no presence of data" action to trigger since the max allowed time is 24 hours.   In our specific use case allowing more options then just 24 hours, say 36, 48, 60 hours or allowing the field to be a custom value would enable us to monitor if any files fail to arrive based on their expected delivery time intervals. ... I have a number of old staging dataflows that create both Lakehouses and Warehouses - hided in Fabric. I’ve renamed them to “OLD” so that I can filter them out in SSMS 21, as they make it quite cluttered and confusing to look at. Experimenting with Copy Job. Yeah, OK, but not great. Some suggestions: 1) Make the option for OVERWRITE available for Warehouse destinations. Currently available for Lakehouses only. This article (What is Copy job in Data Factory - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn) does not differentiate that option. The tooltips overall in Fabric have gotten to a point where they are distruction views with tooltips that are unnecessary. When creating a table, there should be an option to show the count of records in the total line.   For example, if I have a table with the columns: Staff Name Department Salary While I can already show the SUM() of the salaries in the total line of the report under the "Salary" column, there is not a way for me to show the Staff count in the total line under the Staff Name column.  If I use the COUNT or COUNT_DISDINCT summary functions, if turns these text fields into numbers.   We should not have to add a columns of 1's to show a total for the number of records displayed in the table.  Life should be easier. ... We've set up several dynamic subscriptions for our sales reports. They're great - but it's a bit frustrating that the link in the email doesn't connect to a filtered report to match the image in the subscription. We've instructed our team to use a bookmark once they open the link, but it's not ideal.  While the report would match via the link if we instigated RLS - our users do often need to see data that's not relevant to this specific subscription filter requirement, so RLS isn't an option for us here.
