When setting up a report we can now choose which filters will be displayed/hidden/locked on the filter pane. Excellent!! However, it is still possible to remove the filter by the end user by hitting "x". By clicking reset to default all filters will reappear. However not every user will get this directly or they can be removed accidentally. In PBI Desktop on the right hand side there is a list of tables and their fields. When the fields in a table are shown, the sign and name of table is indented more to right than the field names. We are experiencing lots of problems trying to refresh power Bi Datasets that query databases, either in Power Bi Desktop or using the On-premises data gateway. The problem is that after refreshing a table, the database connection doesn't close. Currently, we are full of open connection from Power BI in our databases. And in some of our databases we have a limit on the number of connections each user. As a result, reports fail to refresh. Is there any way to force the connections to close after the refresh? It would be awesome if there was an option for Power Query within Dataflows (in the Power BI Service) to 'View Native Query', just as is possible in Power BI Desktop (in the right-click context menu for Applied Steps - for those unaware, if 'View Native Query' is greyed out then Query Folding is no longer active at that step).
