Enable Power BI to support analysis like performance point services. so user can slice and dice data graphically and also make drillthrough / custom actions available from the OLAP cube so user can retrieve the raw data from their analysis. Also, give user a opportunity to save the drillthrough query or drillthrough result (raw data) into SQL or in the flat file.

Power Query's M Script is unnecessarily wordy and hard to reuse, as each line must include a reference to the previous line's label. A solution could be a generic tag e.g. "PreviousStep" which would always point to ... (drumroll) ... the Previous Step. This would simplify M Script and make it more readable. Reuse of code would be much simpler as rows of M Script could be copied and pasted at will, without needing to carefully tend to previous line labels.

I use the arc gauges to measure percentage of on time delivery. when the rate goes under 90% I have to change them all to red manually. It would be great if conditional formatting extended to this visual as well so it can change from green to red automatically

We need a native connection to Analysis Services for Java similar to the SQL relational database using JDBC. On the C#, we have ADOMD.NET. We need the equivalent for other enterprise programming languages with Java being the biggest outside C#. Requiring our customer to setup IIS with the data pump dll is an extra support overhead. We also pull a lot more data across the network due to the SOAP request.

The actual Excel Import don't Support any Features from Excel like hidden rows and columns, it cant use comment fields and so on.

I encounter lots of clients that has to export the result of Power Query work out to regions or channels in their respective companies. This is painful as filters in the table has to selected and each filtered set saved, then mail. The only way currently is through a very painful trial and error homegrown VBA style app. Not all of our clients can or want to sign up in order to share Power Query queries. They just want to send their operational reports asap

Build a powerful deployment eco system where you enable dev and ops to create reusable deployment scripts to deploy the same content to the various systems (like DEV, Test, Prod ...) without having to manually change each and every connection string, authentication and authorization information ... - prefered as Powershell commandlets as this fits into most on-prem installations.

Please add new feature like syncronization between Reports which developed in Power BI Desktop and SSRS. So that who develop report through Power Bi Dektop can be available for SSRS (.RDL) file and vice versa. (Power BI Desktop/Services <- = -> SSRS development/SSRS report server)

Add the option for end users to comment on dashboards (something similar to PowerBI dashboards). Commentary should be "global filter" sensitive, for eg, if this is a daily dashboard, going back to yesterday should show yesterdays comments only. Got a couple of customer requests for this.

Posted on connect but just putting here as well: https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/1031466/constraints-on-clustered-column-store-indexes Currently clustered columnstore indexed tables only support not null constraints. Unique and foreign key (even unenforced - just for metadata purposes) are required for these to be considered "rea" relational tables. I don't want to have to manually code in a unique constraint check every time I insert or update a CCI table.
