Currently, the source connection for Mirrored DBs is managed through Deployment Rules in data pipelines. There is no way to use Variable Libraries with Mirrored DB, like you can do in CopyJob or Data Pipelines.   Idea: Allow Mirrored DB to use variable library to parameterize connection ID.   My team plans to use fabric ci-cd instead of Fabric Deployment pipelines, so we cannot use Deployment Rules in Fabric deployment pipelines. What we can do is, parameterize the connection ID in GitHub yml file and update on deployment to workspaces.   However, we use Variable Library for CopyJob and Data Pipeline. The only way to do this is by saving the report as a .pbip project and manually editing the visual JSON files. User was granted Viewer access to a Power BI Workspace App only, without any permissions at the workspace level. Despite this limited access, when the user selected “View semantic model”, the full semantic model details including schema, tables, and measures were visible. To verify this behavior, we performed multiple tests: Created a Power BI App and assigned Viewer access to a test user. The user could view the report. The user could also see the semantic model contents when clicking View semantic model. Assigned Viewer role at the workspace level. The behavior remained the same the semantic model’s tables and measures were still visible. Removed all workspace roles and shared the report directly with the user. Field Parameters currently treat all selected columns as a flat list, ignoring any hierarchical relationships that exist between those columns in the data model. This prevents the creation of asymmetric reports with proper grouped/parent-child structures. This feature request asks for Field Parameters to automatically detect and honor existing hierarchies between the columns included in the parameter, enabling grouped asymmetric reporting without requiring any complex and slow workarounds like switch statements in DAX and disconnected tables. The PowerBI matrix visual only allows users to accurately sort on the leftmost Rows field. Users want to be able to sort the matrix like a table in Excel. They want to be able to sort also on the Values fields to see the highest values for specific metrics to show up on the top. Doing this is not straightforward. It requires users to click through the More Options menu, go to the Sort By menu and select their field name they want to sort by. This still does not produce the intended effect when we also have a field in the Columns section. In our use case we have 4 fields in the values section that are repeated per quarter (using the Date in the Columnn section). Users would like to be able to sort on specific fields for specific dates by simply clicking the column header. Hello,   Inbound and outbound security features of Fabric workspaces are wonderful, giving you strong controls regardless of Azure tenant settings.   Currently, privilege for enabling and disabling these features, and their configurations is part of workspace admin role. And since workspace admin role is bundled with bulk of privileges, even developers may need to have this role for their development workspaces, which makes this important privilege very accesible.   If there would be a Security Officer role, and not in workspace but overall Fabric level, having control of outbound and inbound security privilege (and only security related privileges, nothing else), that can give more assurance this privilege will not be misused.   Thank you,         ... We’re exploring support for computed columns in Fabric DW - columns derived from expressions over other columns (for example, totals, normalized values, or derived flags).  For eg:    CREATE TABLE Products (   Price decimal(10, 2),   Tax decimal(10, 2),   TotalPrice AS (Price + Tax) PERSISTED );   These columns are not physically stored (unless marked as PERSISTED in SQL Server) but are computed on the fly during query execution. Please make it possible to interactively run a Notebook as a Workspace Identity, Service Principal or Managed Identity.   Purpose: This would allow us to connect to resources that our personal user account doesn't have access to. This would allow us to interactively test notebooks using the Workspace Identity, Service Principal or Managed Identity before we include the notebook in a pipeline.
