Hi,   We are coming from Qlik world and in there it is very easy to copy paste files and reports to different workspaces. Now when we are working with Fabric it is impossible to copy and paste different items to new workspaces wihtout 3rd party tools like Git. We have for example created lakehouses based on business areas and one developer had made mistake and did create lakehouse to wrong workspace. This was identified too late and development was already quite late stages. Currently, all report developers who build reports from a semantic model in Microsoft Fabric require Edit Access to the model. Without this permission, they cannot create reports, as the option is unavailable. This approach poses challenges, especially with Direct Lake models, where data resides in Fabric itself. In many scenarios, organizations may have one large semantic model serving multiple developers. Granting edit access to all report developers introduces risks such as accidental changes to the model, governance issues, and lack of isolation between roles. Proposed Enhancement: Introduce role separation: Semantic Model Developer: Full edit access to manage model structure, measures, and relationships. Power BI Report Developer: Ability to create reports from the semantic model without requiring edit permissions on the model itself. Description Currently, Dataflow Gen2 in Power BI does not allow refresh operations on flows targeting a Warehouse unless the user performing the refresh is the owner of the dataflow. Even users with full workspace permissions (Admin/Member) and Fabric capacity rights cannot refresh unless ownership is transferred. This limitation creates operational challenges, especially in enterprise environments where multiple users manage refresh schedules. In contrast, when the destination is a Lakehouse, refresh works without requiring ownership transfer, which is the expected behavior. Proposed Enhancement Allow any user with sufficient workspace and Fabric permissions to refresh Dataflow Gen2, regardless of ownership. I would suggest that, when a server name changes during an upgrade (e.g., Denodo v8 to v9), administrators should be able to update existing connections pointing to that server, instead of being required to create new ones each time. This is critical because if someone builds a semantic model directly in Power BI Service (not Desktop), manual intervention is needed after the connection changes.  As for now the option to change the Connection String / Server is greyed out and therefore it would be great to be able to modify that. ... The Refresh Attempts feature automatically pushes 3 consecutive refreshes on a dataset if it fails a single time, in hopes that it will succeed. This is helpful, but incredibly wasteful when considering the cost of each refresh due to cloud infrastructure costs.   This feature has quadrupled our cost of refresh failures, because typically when a refresh fails, it is for a valid reason, so the subsequent refreshes fail. This is especially problematic when cloud issues cause refreshes to fail for our entire tenant, effectively causing us to reach our cloud infrastructure cost quotas.   I propose that the refresh attempts feature should be able to be toggled on or off by Tenant, Workspace, or Dataset. ...
