The nice 'clean' way of handling this usually is to have a single table, then use views for your role playing dimensions. But due to the limitation of views in semantic models you generally don't want to do this as it results in directquery being used. So instead you are forced to duplicate your dimension tables into your semantic model which goes against normalisation principles. Users have suggested using USERELATIONSHIP instead, but this approach is insufficient as you can not use measures in certain scenarios. Ie as the rows in a matrix visual.   Other alternatives include flattening the source tables, but this is not ideal as then you have gaps in your data based on what is available in the source. ie if used in a date range you get awkward gaps in your visual based on the presence or lack of in your source data as opposed to a proper dimension table. ... Currently, tooltips in Power BI reports are automatically triggered when users hover over visual elements. While tooltips provide valuable information, there are scenarios where users may want to temporarily disable them to improve navigation or data selection. I suggest adding an option to allow users to turn tooltips on or off for individual visuals, or to introduce a keyboard shortcut or mouse combination that temporarily disables tooltips. In our multi-tenant solution we use partitions in Apache Kafka to separate data for each tenant. To process events from a specific partition (aka tenant) and stream them into a tenant specific destination (KQL database in this case), it would be nice if it is possible to subscribe to a specific partition when configuring an Apache Kafka datasource in an eventstream.   Today it is mandatory to do 'Event processing before ingestion' and use transformations to filter tenant specific events and route them to the tenant specific KQL database. When you can subscribe to a specific partition, it becomes possible to use 'Direct ingestion' instead. ... Power BI Pipelines have been very helpful in CI/CD process between dev/test/prod workspaces - WHEN artifacts are created in Power BI Desktop and published to the service.   Now, we are hoping to move more towards in-service development and cut out the Power BI Desktop. However, the deployment piplinee does not detect/recognize changes to a reported that are done in the service.  For example, a business edits a report in the production workspace - adding a new page and chart visual.  The pipleine does not recognize that edit, so it can easily be overwritten by a future update from the dev/test workspace.   Reasons for adopting in-service development: Microsoft continues to improve the in-service development capabilities.  Recent releases allow createion and editing of semantic models and reports in the service. Some artifacts can only be created in service, such as dataflows.  Org apps is another artifact type that may qualify. We want to expand Power BI adoption outside of IT department into the hands of business users.  Our goal for IT to create robust semantic model and then for business users to create their own reports using the avilable in service tools.  For business users, creating a report or chnaging an existing report in service may be the easiest, least technical way.   ... Anyone who uses PowerBI long enough has had a PBIX with 50-60 measures and it has become time consuming and tedious to mantain. In Excel you can do a quick find/replace to edit several formulas - in PowerBI you need to select each one individually. An "excel-like" interface for editing measures would save a lot of time!
