Description: Currently, in the Azure Maps visual in Power BI, we can configure bubble size based on a numeric field (for example, sales, population, or volume). However, the actual value that determines the bubble size is not visible on the bubble itself โ users must hover over the point to see the number in a tooltip. This makes it difficult to interpret values quickly or compare across regions when presenting reports or exporting visuals. Proposed Enhancement: Add an option in the Format pane โ Bubble layer to display the bubble size value as a label directly on the bubble (similar to data labels in other chart types). Suggested options: Toggle: โShow bubble value labelโ (On/Off) Customization: font color, size, and placement (center, above, or below the bubble) Conditional formatting for label color based on background contrast Benefits: โ
Improves readability and presentation โ users can see exact values without hovering. โ
Saves time for executives or dashboard viewers during presentations. โ
Aligns behavior with other visuals (bar, column, pie) that already support visible data labels. โ
Enhances accessibility for static exports (PDF, PPT, image snapshots). Example Use Case: In a Sales by Region map, bubble size represents revenue. Currently, we can only compare sizes visually or hover to see exact figures. If numeric labels were shown on the bubbles, stakeholders could instantly read regional revenue without extra interaction.
