However, it’s currently unsupported in embedded scenarios where the app owns the data - specifically when the report viewers are external users outside the host organization's tenant. When Power BI executes queries against SQL Server, it connects using the Mashup Engine or Mashup Engine (%HostContext%)) as program_name. In a crowded environment, it can be difficult to identify which semantic model is responsible for activity or issues on the SQL Server side. I would like to suggest enhancements to the free Gantt Chart visual in Power BI to better support real-world project tracking and resource planning needs. Currently, the visual lacks some key features that are frequently requested by users: Flexibility to use separate rows for different types of events (e.g., statuses vs. failures), without requiring all data to be merged into a single table. A multi-row view for resource planning, allowing multiple tasks or events to be visualized per resource. The ability to correctly display failure events at their actual dates, rather than at the start of a status. Support for a dedicated Milestones field to represent critical events such as failures or deadlines. Improved performance and rendering when working with large datasets. I’ve noticed that these features are already available in the PowerGantt Chart visual by Nova Silva, which is a paid solution. Hello All, My team and I are working on automating visual testing for Power BI reports post-deployment. The goal is to validate whether a report is rendering correctly or if it is broken, using the Sempy_labs library. Currently, the library lacks functionality to detect broken visuals based on the UI appearance. To work around this, we have converted our reports from the standard .pbix format to the .pbip format, which allows us to inspect and automate more granular elements of the report. Currently, there is no clear notification mechanism when throttling occurs in Microsoft Fabric capacity. While the admin portal allows setting up alerts based on thresholds to help prevent throttling, there is no direct way to be notified when throttling has actually happened. The only method to detect it is by manually checking the Capacity Metrics app, which is not efficient for real-time monitoring. Please allow users to view the diff of workspace items (e.g. notebooks, dataflows, pipelines, semantic models, reports) before committing changes via Fabric Git integration.   Currently, Fabric Git integration shows that an item has been modified, but provides no built-in way to review what was changed - meaning users sometimes commit without knowing what’s actually in the change set.   Use case: I’ve made changes to items in my workspace, but then I got another urgent task before I could commit my work to Git, and after spending time and energy on that urgent task - and some other tasks in-between - I now lost track of what changed exactly in the workspace. When we create a report in Mobile layout in Power BI desktop and open the report in Mobile browser or Power BI Mobile application, we see that when we double click on any point of the report it gives us a magnified view.   This same behaviour is observed when a report is embedded in any application using the Embed token from Power BI. Currently, Power BI's "Format by rules" feature only allows rules to be based on a single field. This limitation adds complexity to formatted reporting, especially when formatting logic depends on multiple fields (e.g., highlight a value if fielda = "B" or fieldb = "R"). To work around this, users must create DAX measures, which increases report development time and reduces maintainability.
