Regardless of the resizing of visuals (e.g., bar chart, line chart, etc.), the Auto feature should work as expected—especially from the data label perspective, ensuring correct unit representation on top of each plot or marker. Currently, Power BI Service attempts to validate credentials for all queries in a dataset, even if a query is excluded from report refresh in Power BI Desktop.
