I have created various reports with a dark color theme as I prefer this as well as many other users.   For some users, lighter themes and modes seem to be more appealing and it would be great if Power BI had a built in toggle function to switch between dark and light mode for users.   When changing between both modes, you should be able to disable its interaction with certain report content - for example preventing bars in a chart from changing colors as you toggle between dark and light mode.  ... This can significantly reduce flexibility, especially in complex queries or scenarios where temporary tables or dynamic query generation are necessary for performance or functionality. Proposed Solution Enable full support for CTEs and Dynamic SQL when using DirectQuery with SQL Server. This would involve: Allowing CTEs in DirectQuery Full support for Common Table Expressions (CTEs) in queries that are sent from Power BI to SQL Server. Allow multiple CTEs within a query to simplify complex data manipulations without needing to break the query into multiple steps. Supporting Dynamic SQL Enable the execution of dynamic SQL within DirectQuery queries. Allow users to construct queries dynamically based on parameters, user selections, or filtering logic, without limitations. Query Optimization Work on ensuring that dynamic SQL and CTEs do not negatively affect query performance in DirectQuery mode. When merging tables there is an option to use prefix of table before column name but when the table name is too much bigger and cannot be changed based on business condition it is a problem to identify correct column. For certain types of columns, such as text columns, it is often the case that one does not want ANY value to show in the subtotal row for that particular colmn (value),  Currently, you are forced to select an aggregation type like count, count distinct first, etc.  There should be a "None" option so that when records are grouped/rolled up, you can indicate that a particular field should simply not be aggregated at all.   Example: Dept/Client/Project Created Date Stage Est. Fee Est. Users open reports on devices of varying screen sizes, be it 14-inch or 15-inch laptops, regular size desktop monitors etc, and I think it would be a good idea to make sure the viewing area of the report itself is maximized.   There's a thick toolbar up top, where the search box is, then there's a toolbar where File, Share and Export (and other) options are located - it would be better to make all of this smaller and more compact, so there's more screen realestate for the report to be more in focus and just larger in general. ... As a Microsoft Fabric user, I’ve noticed an issue when merging code from a feature branch to the main branch. My notebook retains the lakehouse that was attached in my local development environment, even after publishing to main. This creates extra manual steps to reattach the correct lakehouse, which can be error-prone and disrupt workflows.   It would be great to have a way to dynamically update the lakehouse attachment when merging from a feature branch to main. I have a table in Power BI where I show different values based on a certain time period.  Because of how the layout of the table is (values in columns), I have to create the measurements within my data and replace the columns as needed.  It would be nice if I could be able to select the value I need to replace (example for this would be GP% Q4 '24) and be able to pick my new measurement/value (GP% Q1 '25) and it be able to keep all the special formatting I have for the column instead of having to redo it.    ...
