Currently there is no option to have a matrix total display averages vs sums for rows. Today, the only workaround for this is to have the sum measures and the average measures in the Values then try to make the average measures that get added into the main section of the matrix as small as possible and similarily to try to make the sum measures in the totals section of the matrix as small as possible so that these are "not visible". However, this is not a clean look and the columns can't be made small enough to look seamless with the rest of the data. Many of the functions in notebookutils focus on interacting with Fabric items in the same workspace. It would be nice to expand notebookutils to include more functions that can profile other environments.   For example, I can list the lakehouses in my current workspace with notebookutils.lakehouse.list().  To access things like lakehouses outside of the workspace, I have to know the workspace ID. However, notebookutils doesn't have a function to find the workspace ID of another workspace.   You can use sempy to find the workspace ID using the name of the workspace, so the workaround isn't too complicated. Background: I went to create a pipeline to pull data from QuickBooks Online. I started with a Fabric pipeline and CopyData activity. Under Source, I went to create a new connection and searched for "Quickbooks" under All. None were found. I abandonded Fabric and went with classic Azure Data Factory as I KNOW they have a Quickbooks Online connector. A month later I discover that you can go to Manage Connections and Gateways, and THERE you can create a QuickBooks Online connector.  The idea: Make it so that EVERY connection type available in either Pipeline CopyData or Manage Connections and Gateways is available everywhere else. ... Currently, the retention dashboard allows for filtering by agency with a double click through to agent. Adding SAN to each agent would allow for us to understand how markets and regions are performing on retention. Team,   we are not able to increase embed token timeouts, or idle or inactivity timeouts because of this reports refereshes and losses the filteration for Paginated reports.   Brief background: We use Power BI as an embedded application within our Bedrock platform, leveraging Service Principals for authentication and embedded tokens for report access. Current Issue: We're unable to increase embed token timeouts or configure idle/inactivity timeouts. As a result, paginated reports lose their filters upon refresh, disrupting the user experience. This limitation has existed since the beginning, but as user activity has increased, it has become a significantly more frustrating issue. We're unable to extend embed token or inactivity timeouts, which causes paginated reports to refresh and lose filter selections—disrupting the user experience. We've noticed that when using background images in visuals, Power BI creates a separate copy of the image for each visual—even when the same image is reused. A similar issue occurs with custom assets like TopoJSON files in map visuals, where each visual stores its own copy of the file. This behavior unnecessarily inflates the Power BI file size and increases load times, as the same asset is downloaded and cached multiple times. This is a small feature request for better error messages from the Power BI API. Specifically I am hoping for an improvement in this API call: - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/export-to - In NuGet package Microsoft.PowerBI.Api, this is PowerBIClient.Reports.ExportToFileInGroup   If I call this method and give it a list of pages, and if even one of the pages has a bad PageName (Microsoft.PowerBI.Api.Models.ExportReportPage.PageName) (bad simply in that the PageName doesn't exist in the report), I get an inner exception with message "Operation returned an invalid status code 'BadRequest'". "BadRequest" makes it sound like I've sent malformed JSON or something, whereas the syntax is perfect and one of the page identifiers isn't in the report. The error message should instead say something like "PageName not found in report."   This has been a pain point for me. I have a fully functional process (to export PNG assets from a report) can break if when company's Power BI report developers release what they think is an inconsequential change that alters a report identifier. Fix issue on Power BI Notifications screen that after saves you refresh and break column sorts   When I go to the Notifications page in the Power BI portal and need to make changes I sort by the Source Item column, then I make a change to a notification and then when it saves it resorts the screen. then I have to click the Source Item column header three times to get it back to the correct sort order. Very frustring and very user UN-friendly when I am editing multiple Notifications and want to retain the sort order (i.e. Source Item column) after each save. When using the SQL query UI for either Lakehouse or Warehouse, it's useful to write multiple queries in a single text editor window and then highlight/select a specific query and click Run or press CTRL + Enter to run just that query. Sometimes, however, the Fabric UI will try to run all queries in the text editor rather than just what's highlighted. This causes error messages and user confusion.   This occurs frequently for our team on multiple browsers - it seems that it doesn't happen if you highlight a query, then wait a second or so before running it.
