It would be nice to be able to hide the auidance names so that all auidence names are not shown during meetings where screen share is taking place.   We use auidances within our PBI to seprate our customers and if I'm screen sharing with customer ABC we cannot show them we service customer XYZ so hiding the auidance name is invaluable.     Use a different workspace? - Using a different workspace means we would need to share the same exact report, dataset, and referesh frequency across 10+ worspaces (for each of our customers) and this will increase capaicity consumption.  - Different workspaces means management would need to navigate to different apps whereas now they currently use one app and select the auidance they need.    Implement RLS? - We use RLS within each report so that the data is filtered to the specific customer.    ... Sorting and reorganizing needs to be better in both the Power Query pane for columns and in the report view in Power BI for pages. In the report view, when you're looking at the vertical list of report pages (after right-clicking on the page navigation arrows) it would be helpful to be able to drag pages up and down, or use an up and down arrow interface to move a selected page around more quickly.    In the Power Query window, it would be helpful to have the up and down arrow interface to move a selected column around when you're in the Choose Column window.  ... Hi Team   Currently, when an Admin does App audiences, the report opens with all the data shown, this is a real problem for admins who just wants to add audiences for users. as it shows possible confidential data which we do not desire to view.   Also for Fabric, we noted that Admins can view tables and do a lot of things. We love how new features are tagged as “Shipped”, but it can be easy to miss what's new and useful, especially for non-technical HR users. We’d like to suggest a more friendly and actionable way to notify users about new feature rollouts in Power BI:  1. Personalized Notifications Let users (especially HR and analytics leads) subscribe to updates relevant to their dashboards—like data visual changes, slicer improvements, or export options—so they know right away when something “Shipped” is available in their tenant.  2. Impact for HCM Use Cases It would be great if shipped features could include a short note showing how they apply to HR use cases—for example, "This helps with employee sentiment dashboards" or "Improves visibility in diversity reports."  3. At the moment, when the button slicer is set to a grid layout, it populates across, then down.   For example, in a 3x3 grid, the first three values will be populated to row 1 of the grid.   There is no way to get the grid to populate down, then across (i.e. the first three values populated to column 1 of the grid)   This idea is to provide an option for the user to select between "across, then down", and "down, then across", when the grid layout is selected. ... It would be a huge time-saver if we could right-click an image in Power BI and select a "Change Picture" option, similar to how it's done in PowerPoint or Word. Currently, you have to delete the old image and insert a new one, which is tedious when you're just updating a visual. Currently, data pipelines only allow for semantic model refreshes. This becomes problematic when dealing with a data mart pointing to a data flow. the semantic model is not a refreshable model type as it uses a direct connection from the model to data flow. If a user has gone to the Power BI service, viewed a report and a visual. Selected export to excel on the visual and used the live connection, it creates the connection, but the only information on where that connection is to is the GUID of the underlying semantic model.   Business users often export data to Excel to add ancillary information and enhance it with other datasets, but they lack the ability to incorporate those datasets or changes into the published semantic model.   Recently, I was working with business users, and they had an existing solution that was broken. Without having the Fabric Administrator role access, there was no easy way for me to track down what Report and Visual they exported on, as these users only view the data through Apps and Reports, so having the underlying semantic model GUID was no help.   It would be great if that export to excel could include some more details in the description or command text of the connection like the Workspace/App, Report and Visual Example enhancement to the commant text to show where it came from This would help troubleshoot these existing solutions that business users have. ... I’d like to share my perspective as a user who’s proficient in SQL and other BI tools. While DAX is undoubtedly powerful in handling complex, context-aware calculations, it imposes a steep learning curve and obscures basic analytical logic. Tasks that should be straightforward — such as calculating Top N per category — require excessive workaround logic in DAX due to its rigid dependency on filter and row context. This breaks from common, transparent approaches used in SQL (e.g., using RANK() over partitions). My main concerns: The context-driven model makes even basic queries unintuitive. DAX requires more effort for simple outputs than equivalent operations in SQL, Excel, or Tableau. Visuals like Matrix don’t provide native support for “Top N per group,” forcing users to misuse DAX constructs. Request: Please consider adding clearer, user-controlled query constructs, or simplifying the interface for basic analytical patterns like Top N, rankings, and grouped aggregations — without requiring deep DAX expertise. DAX’s abstraction of “context” is clever, but in many scenarios it becomes an obstacle. A balance between power and usability would make Power BI more accessible and effective for all users — not just those who master DAX internals. Dear DAX developers, You’ve created a language so focused on internal “context” that you’ve lost sight of external usability. When experienced users — especially those fluent in SQL — can’t do basic Top N breakdowns without struggling against hidden logic, you’ve failed at interface design. I'd love to see a new standard button type in Power BI: a toggle button that can be customized and linked directly to: Dichotomous field parameters (e.g., PIT/Cumulative, YoY/Prior Period) Measures that switch logic or visuals Bookmarks for toggling between views or layouts (e.g., floating filter pane open/close) This would function similarly to a filter but with more flexibility and visual clarity.
