Since the July update , cannot export data to excel from PBI desktop. The app flags an error, and have sent frown. On closing the error dialog, the app displays "working on it" until the app is stopped from task manager. Tested same export on another PC with still the June version and it works fine !! After my dataset gets refreshed, all the reports updates, and the dashboard tiles write the last update time well. The problem is that the data inside the dashboard tiles does not ! (So the last update time does not match the data in the tiles !) I opened pages in chrome that wasnt refreshed with F5, and stayed open on the dashboard page for many hours (while i view and watch other chrome pages). Power Bi Desktop has been working fine until the August update. Whenever I try to "get data" and select Database then "SQL Server Database" it closes the box as it should but never loads anything. It wont let you click anywhere else. Event logs show this error every time this happens: The description for Event ID 25 from source MSOLAP$AnalysisServicesWorkspace340320730 cannot be found. After publishing to report I can only see the title of the visual but not the visual itself. It was visible earlier but not recently. The help info on the visual indicates there are too many values to be able to display and asks me to filter the data. Its possible my dataset has grown but since the visual appears in the PowerBI desktop I'm not sure why it can't display in the browser. ... View more

Ipad App buggy, sometimes drill down button will not highlight, sometimes if you drill down too quickly the app locks up. Hello, I am very excited about the new Redshift connector. However, we use Redshift to store big data that needs to have a query applied to it before bringing it in for analysis and visualization. It appears that the Redshift connection only allows you to bring in the entire table, and then apply a "Power Query" to it. We're connecting to a virtual database hosted by JBoss Data Virtualization. It provides an ODBC endpoint, and when attempting to Preview the data, I'm seeing errors thrown on the server side about the SQL being sent not being parsable by the JDV engine itself. Query logs captured the incoming query as "from TableA" instead of a syntactically correct "select * from TableA" query. If you have a "Line Chart" graph with multiple overlapping lines, and click an item in the Legend to highlight a particular line, you may not see the line through other lines. The other lines get "greyed" but are still rendered over the would-be highlighted line. Same goes for the "points" rendered along the line. Essentially the highlighted line should probably be brought forward in the z order, or it's width increased so it shows from behind the other lines. ... View more
