Hi Fabric Team,   I’m writing to report a critical issue we've encountered while using Microsoft Fabric for our ETL and ELT workloads. We rely heavily on both Warehouse and Lakehouse components. As expected, when configuring a copy activity, we can use SQL queries if the source is a Warehouse. However, we discovered that Fabric currently does not prevent queries from referencing Lakehouse tables in a Warehouse-scoped query. This unexpected behavior led to a serious issue in one of our production pipelines—records from a daily load were not copied to Oracle as expected. After an in-depth investigation, we traced the problem to a query that mistakenly referenced a Lakehouse table, even though the copy activity source was configured as a Warehouse. Fabric did not flag this mismatch, and the copy activity silently failed to extract the intended data. This kind of inconsistency is very hard to detect and can have severe consequences in production environments. 🛠️ Suggested Improvement: Implement a validation step during query submission in copy activities to ensure that all referenced tables belong to the selected source type (i.e., Warehouse). Power BI currently supports Python visuals in Desktop only, and visuals freeze in the Service due to sandboxing limitations. This blocks real-time advanced visualizations (e.g., forecasting, clustering, statistical modeling) that data professionals increasingly rely on. Whilst a user with pipeline access can see the individual operation history within a pipeline, in order to centrally oversee the movement of artifacts between workspaces in ALL deployment pipelines a user needs to use the REST admin API to extract all Pipelines, PipelineOperations and PipelineOperationDetails records and create a process whereby it joins them together to show an estate-wide record of movements.   It would be easier if the Monitor tab on the Power BI homepage included Pipeline Operations (that the user has permission to access) so that all monitoring can be enabled centrally instead of costly, time-consuming and complicated API exports.   e.g. "On X date user Y deployed artifacts to environment Z. Dear CMMS Power BI Team, We would like to highlight a recurring issue where work orders are being flagged as SLA breached in Power BI, despite being QC closed within the acceptable timeframe in CMMS. For example, one work order had a due date of 12 May 2025 at 00:00 hrs but was closed on 11 May at 14:00 hrs. However, it still appeared as SLA breached in Power BI. We suspect this may be due to a time deviation between CMMS OKR Power BI GMT vs UTC. Dear Community, I am just getting started with Power BI (and Fabric), and I’ve been exploring its various features. One thing I really enjoy is the grouping functionality in Power Query mode. It’s so helpful for structuring data during the upload process. However, what I’m currently missing is a similar feature in the Data area after the data has been uploaded. It would be amazing if there were an option to create custom, self-defined groups within the Data view, on top of the regular structured data. Maybe this feature already exists and I just haven’t seen it? If so, I’d love to hear about it! If not, I truly hope this might be considered as a future improvement. Current State: Developers can connect to shared semantic models and then convert to a Local Copy via Direct Query. They can use the measures in visualizations, however, they cannot see how that measure has been defined.   Reasoning: While it is understandable that the developer cannot modify the semantic model's measure, it would be very helpful to be able to see the actual DAX behind the measure. It is important to understand how a measure is calculated before using it to build reports.   Recommendation: Allow developers connecting to shared semantic models to be able to view the Measure DAX, while maintaining security to prevent modification of the DAX measure.
