A Model that I use regularly to publish data to the cloud now fails (FailedToRefreshPackageAfterImportError). This started happening after i upgraded to the latest version of Power BI

the documentation in the link below specifies that a filter parameter may be embedded in to the report URL. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-share-unshare-dashboard/ However, this feature does not seem to be working. I have used this notation on several reports "?filter=tablename/fieldname eq value" making sure that the field and table have no spaces and that the field type is String. In my specific case the Table name is Sales and the Field is State and I am trying to filter for State = CA using this syntax ?filter=Sales%252FState%20eq%20CA (or ?filter=Sales/State eq CA ) but neither works

Hi When I publish from desktop it should update my existing report which then updates the dashboard. At the moment it is creating an additional new report with the same name (which does not update the dashboard)? Please advise

I was able to refresh my reports now they're stuck at credentials required and do not work for me as well as no one in my team. I have captured repro steps and link to the report if you reach me. Thanks

I am unable to configure the on premise data gateway using the powerbi pro license. below is the error: Failed to Sign in. Please verify your credentials and try again. An existing Connection was forcibly closed by the remote host at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Receive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 Offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags) at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.Red(Byte[] buffer,Int32 offset,Int32 Size) if i configure on my laptop, it works fine. but above error occurs on premise server dedicated Gateway. Please help ASAP

"Your data source can't be refreshed because the credentials are invalid. Please update your credentials and try again." Default option is 'Anonymous' Errors with "Failed to update datasource credentials" Works with no issues using Power Bi desktop or Power Query

Getting unknown error after embedding a Power Bi report in website. Report is functioning fine on Power Bi Dashboard. Report gets data from from ASA job. No measures or calculations. When I try to use odata from NAV 2017 in PowerBI, I get a "user was not authorized" message. Won't work anonymously or with any other credentials, I get the same message. Please help. Thanks, Craig

i have a report with a Matrix showing revenues by quarters. the report is filtered to show only 2016, and what I get is all years. the problem seems to be only on iPhone and android devices (we don't have others) however on the PC it shows fine. please fix this as our sales people are getting confused

Hi Team, I am using Jira Cloud Connector provided by Power BI Service. i have customized fields in the JIRA with column names like Root Cause, Affected Version, Inspection Type but am able to import the all the columns data except these customized columns. I have also checked the column fields to map any of the data fields to the required column header but no luck. Can you please help in resolving the issue?

The swedish characters å, ä and ö are sorted like a and o in Power BI Desktop. That is wrong. They are the last characters in the swedish alphabet.

Many of my visualizations in PBI Service are no longer loading. I just get the spinning dots. Even if I wait for several hours they don't load. They worked fine last week then just stopped working. I am using PBI Desktop and published the report to PBI Service and created a dashboard. Data refresh is manual through an OData feed and that seems to be working fine. The dashboard is working fine. A few of the report pages (the simpler ones) are loading ok. The rest no longer load many of the visualizations. It is always the same visualizations that won't load. Slicers, Tables and Tree Maps.

I hava a table on a dashboard and it has visual level filters, there's no problem. Bu when i click on the table-tile, all the visual level filters are disabled, and table shows all the data. Is this a bug or is there a config for this?

Hi, I have published a power bi model which was a direct query mode. I created report on top of it. Now I change the model from direct query to in memory and publish it again. the model is working fine,. but... I cant setup the gateway connection and the refresh schedules. the web interface still think its a direct query model and didnt change the GUI to an in memory one. I dont want to drop all my reports and my model, so how can we change a model without impacting the other existing stuff connected to it?

When using PBI Desktop Combine Binaries to import CSV files, if you add a transformation step of DUPLICATE COLUMN it cause the function to fail (this happens if you create the function manually also)

When using 'Get Data' or when I go to do advanced filtering in Power Query, the pop up appears to be cut off limiting what I can click on and do.

Within a report we have two charts : -one donut chart displaying geographies zones -one column chart displaying countries we define in the report a visual interaction between the charts: donut chart "filter" data in the column chart. It works well during sometime. And then after a while we notice that the behaviour has been changed back to the "Higlight visual interaction. Please fix this.

I Have a dashboard that under gateway connection is using the (power Bi - personal) data gateway there is no data source connections listed when i use the drop down menu, but the report and dashboard are set to refresh every evening and do so with no issues. I have uploaded a new dashboard that uses the same data sources, but every time i try to refresh I get the message below. I am also a power Bi Pro user and every time I try to log a tick I am getting a bad request error message. PLEASE HELP !!!! Something went wrong.
