Dear Power BI Development Team, I have some improvement suggestions that would significantly save time in building dashboards. Default Sorting Order for Bar Charts: Currently, when creating bar charts, the default behavior is to sort the series by values in descending order. It would be very useful to have an option to change this default behavior to sort by series labels in ascending order. Default Interaction Between Visuals: The default interaction setting between visuals is currently set to Highlight. I propose allowing this default setting to be changed to Filter. Filtering often provides a clearer view of the relationship between data by focusing on relevant information, making it a preferred choice for many users. Short Date Format as Default for Date Fields Currently, new date fields are always formatted as long date, even if you set them to Short Date in Power Query. When trying to determine the correct naming convention to request the correct Power Bi reporting it would be helpful for the name of that to pop up when it tells you that you do not have access for this report, then give you the naming convention that you need to request to request the access. Currently the stored procedure activity has a retry count which is helpful as there are often brief connection/network/access failures which can cause a proc to fail on the first attempt.  The Lookup Activity can also fail on the first try so a retry count would reduce the times you have to go back and manually re-run. ... Power BI is constantly evolving.  But that evolution is poorly communicated.  I usually find out about changes when I try to update or refresh data in a report and something breaks.  I manage a SOX control that uses Power BI.  It has to work, PERIOD!  To open the desktop app or to open the report and find out some change has nerfed my report is terrible.   Oh well!  We have to stay up to date with the latest security requirements.  We have to enhance this, that and the other thing.  GREAT!  Make sure the changes are communicated and the transition managed so my reports don't break.  Give me the path to moving to whatever the new requirement is insteand of simply breaking my current solution.   C'MON...users shouldn't find out about changes when they can no longer use their current version.  We should be better than that. ... The current REST API endpoint for executing DAX queries on datasets that has RLS enabled, requires the permissions for the RLS roles to be configured in Power BI Service.   This is a problem for customers who use embedded capacity, because the access rights are often managed by the software itself (not power bi service) in which the reports are embedded in. When giving access rights in power bi service to RLS roles, it requires the user to be invited into the tenant of the power bi service provider, which is a no-go.   We need a way to pass an EffectiveIdentity (or similar) into the execute query endpoint so that we have the ability to choose which RLS roles are applied on the dataset for a specific user when executing the DAX query rest request. ... Dear Team,   I would like to request the addition of a feature to view Power BI dashboards in full screen mode — showing just the dashboard itself without the Fields and Visualizations panes. This would greatly enhance the presentation experience, especially during meetings or reviews.   A suitable place for this feature could be in the bottom-right corner, near the existing "Fit to Page" button (please refer to the attached image for reference). I really appreciate how PowerPoint allows users to enter full screen using the "Slide Show" button, making it easy to focus solely on the content. Greetings Team, Everyone,   I want to suggest present a Power BI report to my supervisor as a dashboard for him track the progress and status of cetain database, he doesn't want to see the UI. However, There is no way to do that, at least from what I have searched. Hi all, as discussed here I think the Scorecards could be improved setting an options to manage a "father level" logically other then mathematically. As stated in the link we can only use mathematics criterias to calculate the father statis (MAX MIN SUM etc) but it is impossible have a rag status at the father level when the below objects are different measures type. for example: I want to control my process and I have three KQIs: 1) average processing time 2) maximum product cost 3) minimum number of pieces produced per day if I am the department manager I want all three controls to be green and I would like to see everything from a single scorecard.
