Today, in Power BI reports, the "Focus Mode" button and the "More Options" (three dots) only appear when a user hovers over a visual. While this keeps the interface clean, it can confuse many users — especially less experienced ones — who don't know these options exist. I suggest adding a setting for each visual (or at the report level) to always display: The "Focus Mode" icon The "More Options" (three dots) menu Benefits: Improves discoverability and usability, especially for enterprise users Reduces the need for hover-based interactions, making dashboards more intuitive Helps users on mobile or touch devices where hover is less natural Optional Settings: Toggle option: Always Visible / Visible on Hover Ability to customize which actions (e.g., Focus Mode only) are shown by default This feature would greatly enhance user experience and make reports more accessible and user-friendly. The "Card (new)" feature allows image URLs to be used but the image Size parameter stretches images that are in Portrait orientation (e.g. if set to 900 px for a larger image - landscape images look appropriately scaled but portrait images are also stretched to fill the 900px giving them a vertically squashed look). Please update this visual to allow the image to be "fit" within the dimensions of the card regardless of orientation. Aside: also the horizontal alignment does not appear to work on Image URLs for this visual, image shows as fixed to the left regardless of setting when viewed in PowerBI online

One try quick trial can be very help full for just learing with no data persistance also with limitted time login. It is very hard to learn without doing example. very hard to get usal fabric.

For a web activity in a pipeline, where I do not have access to the connection, when trying to run that pipeline I get the following saving error. This error has very little information for me to understand what is failing. I would like the error message to be improved. When validating the pipeline, it does not show any validation error btw. It is very common in Fabric Data Factory for a developer to forget to add other developers to a connection. Thus, in a pipeline with multiple activities it can be quite difficult to understand why a pipeline is failing when another developer is trying to debug an existing pipeline. I have also created a support ticket #2504111420001860 where you can find further details. I am writing this here, since I have been encouraged by the support engineer to bring up the issue directly to the product team through this channel.

The colour blind view has limitations compared to the standard colour scheme. I have noticed with the Matrix tables the accessable option to expand into the subcategories isnt there like it is in the standard version. You can click into it and manually select the expand option but it seems bizzare that this isnt the go to format for all colour scheme options as the default settings. I have noticed this issue with a few of the visuals that you can insert into the platform. Standard: Colourblind safe:

Hi, currently the only authentication method available to connect Fabric with Business Central with a Dataflow Gen2 is via OAuth. As this is not best practice for operational excellence, I would like to request to also add Service Principal as authentication method for this connection. Thanks and best regards!

Description: Currently in Microsoft Fabric, the email subscription feature can only be enabled or disabled at the organization level. This creates challenges for governance and role-based access control. Feature Request: Please introduce a new setting: “Apply to Subset of Organization” for email subscriptions. Use Case: We want to empower developers and report owners to configure email subscriptions for dashboards and reports, while restricting business users from doing so. Business users should consume data directly within Power BI apps to encourage modern data interaction and reduce unnecessary email traffic and report snapshots. Benefits: Promotes better data security and control Encourages interactive usage over static snapshots Aligns with enterprise governance policies Reduces email load and potential for outdated report distribution Thank you for considering this enhancement—it would help us manage Power BI usage more effectively and align with best practices for self-service BI.

It would be great if Paginated Reports could support field names with special characters like periods, hyphens, or spaces. Many source systems use these, and current limitations force unnecessary workarounds.

It would be great if you could read longer filter items within the filter instead of just several letters. You can't see most of the text in a filter.

We would like to see dynamic small multiples to conform to the number of selection in a Filter. So, if there are 6 charts and I have 6 Category in a Filter and based on RLS a user has only access to 2 category then the chart should conform to 2 charts instead of showing 2 charts and 4 empty charts.

I am not able to find out any solution how we can do a explicit partition on Fact Table (Internet Sales -> OrderDate). Year and Month (Current, 202503,202502 etc). This parition will help to schedule refresh for current month partition rather doing whole table. For some use case, we can go for last 6 month parition refresh. If any option available, please let me know which will help a lot.

Please add an option to not set an end date to report subscriptions. Today I received a number of emails regarding subscriptions that was about to end, which is just as "welcome" as the emails regarding "refresh has been paused"... Sure you can set an end date that is ridiculously far ahead, but is it really a good design choice?

Currently, Power Query does not support merging local datasets with Online Semantic Models (also referred to as datasets hosted in the Power BI service). This limitation makes it difficult for users to integrate on-premises or manually loaded data with centrally governed semantic models. Enabling this feature would allow for: Greater flexibility in combining online and local data sources More comprehensive data modeling workflows Improved usability for hybrid data environments We strongly recommend that Microsoft consider supporting this functionality to better accommodate real-world enterprise scenarios and enhance the overall capability of the Power BI platform.

You currently cannot select hidden objects in the edit sparkline dialog box for the X-Axis and Y-Axis for a Table Visual. The visual will still work if the object is hidden after the sparkline is configured. This should be updated so that all objects are available in the edit sparkline dialogue box, even if they are hidden.

It's really annoying to have to expand the Ribbon every time I enter a Power Query window. Love to have this expanded by default, or to have a button to pin it open, or something like that.

Hi there! I am so, so excited for Power Query in Report Builder. But it seems it's not quite there yet. I used Get Data to establish a Dataset based on a query to an Oracle database. It pulls a variety of columns from a few tables, including a Site column and a Location column (each Site has many Locations). I want to be able to filter on those last two columns, so I added separate queries to my database to pull their distinct values. When I get back to the main Report Builder window, however, there is only one Dataset listed - MainQuery - and its fields are the columns from the Location query (Site and Location). Essentially it seems it takes the name of the first query, and the structure of the last, and calls it a day. If I click the "Get data" button on the ribbon and then do my query from there, it works as expected. From a user experience standpoint, and relative to Power BI specifically, it feels like the Power Query window should capture all of the "Get Data" queries, and each query should come back as a separate Dataset - rather than having each Dataset require a separate Power Query Data Source. There's another problem, though: when I try to delete the second query in my first Dataset, and then click "Create", the Power Query window just hangs as a blank white screen and never resolves. The same happens if I edit the query. An additional problem, that makes that approach not work in the first place: when I try to add a parameter for my main query, my Locations query doesn't show up as an option to draw values from (which makes sense, since it's a separate PowerQuery instance). (Also, it probably wouldn't have saved when I tried to close the window...) And if I go in and put all the queries in one Get Data Dataset - with the main query last, so its data will be accessible - I still can't access the other queries for use as parameters. --- Additionally, as a bonus bug report, whenever I go back into Power Query for this Dataset, I have to configure the settings for the main query again, every time.
