Recently I came across a tricky problem: One KPI Card Visual taht shows a aily KPI and its last 3 weeks trend was showing towards the end of the day a ZERO value for the KPI (when in fact this was not zero). Upon checking through copilot several dat/date time columns and semantic model setting on the service and teh source data, I enabled in teh visual the show date feature, which THEN showed me that visual thought it was "one day in the future", and the reason was becasue I've tick the "Include Today" on the relative last X units of time: apparentlu when looking in the past the visual logic ALREADY starts counting back from today, but ticking the mark forces it to check "next day". I also saw that this happens towards the END of my country normal office hours so to speack, so perhas some time logic is involved but not accesible.   ... View more

TrackingID#2505090040011984 -- Microsoft has confirmed that the behavior you’re experiencing is a known limitation of the SSRS/Paginated Reports PDF rendering engine where we are not able to set static headers that repeats on multiple pages.    We have all pages to have a standard 8 1/2 x 11 and with that said, we are seeing where a specific data set runs into 2 pages, we lose the header information.    There isn't a way to set a static header without doing customized work.   Request for a setting/configuration to have a static header regardless of page size. ... I've seen a lot of other users expressing difficulty with this -- when using the abbreviation "PR" for Puerto Rico, all map tools will recognize that as Peru (even if there's a location hierarchy which indicates cities/ zip codes in Puerto Rico). This review should help identify which elements—such as tables, columns, and field values—have not been used in the report. You should then be given the option to delete these unused elements to improve performance. As a Power BI tenant administrator in a central BI team (without the Fabric Administrator role but with workspace admin on the workspace the subscription is created within), I would like to configure an email that shows me Power BI subscriptions where at least one recipient has left the company so I can adjust this, or provide a user with a link to the specific subscription in a large list of subscriptions.   I can get subscription details via the REST API, and could potentially PUT an update to the users to this, however I would like to be able to view the subscription and adjust as appropriate, which would require either a direct URL to configure/adjust the subscription in the UI, or locating the specific subscription by it's title in the list of all subscriptions.   In SSRS this would be https://*server name*/reports/manage/catalogitem/editsubscription/*report path*?id=*subscription Id*.   In Power BI (/Fabric), there does not seem to be such a method to generate a url parameter path to edit a specific subscription. Is there any way to do this in Power BI?   I've played around with trying to use a subscription ID query parameter on https://app.powerbi.com/user/user-settings/notifications?experience=power-bi but cannot find any valid url parameters to filter to a specific subscription. I've looked at the Configure Subscription link included in the emails, however when using this, if I am not the creator (owner) of the subscription, the entire subscription pane is empty when visited from this URL.   In my situation I am referring to paginated report subscriptions, however both interactive and non-interactive paginated report subscriptions seem to use the same subscription parameter (which causes a similar governance issue noted here). ... Description: Power BI to support is needed for dynamic API calls triggered by slicer selections when using DirectQuery mode.   Use Case: In my report, I use a slicer to select an ID. Ideally, each time a user selects a new ID, Power BI should trigger a fresh API call (e.g., via Web.Contents or a custom connector), using the selected ID as a parameter, and update the visuals accordingly. This would enable just-in-time data retrieval, improving performance and responsiveness—especially when dealing with large or external datasets accessible only via REST APIs. Most importantly, this approach removes the need to pre-load and store the entire dataset before querying it.   Current Limitation: Power BI currently does not support this functionality in DirectQuery mode. While dynamic M parameters are available for some data sources like SQL Server or SAP, they are not supported for REST APIs via "web.contents". Although some workarounds proposed by some users, they introduce significant complexity, additional system layers like power apps or power automate, and lack seamless integration and real-time interactivity.   Suggested Enhancements: Extend support for dynamic M parameters to REST API and "web.contents" sources in DirectQuery. Enable slicer values to bind to query parameters for triggering API calls. Provide a refresh mechanism that allows real-time API data retrieval based on user interaction. In Power BI Service, workspace admins currently cannot impersonate users who have been granted direct access to a semantic model (dataset) but do not have access to the workspace itself. This limitation makes it difficult to: Validate Row-Level Security (RLS) configurations for external or limited-access users. Troubleshoot access issues or test user-specific views of data. Support delegated administration and governance in large organizations. Proposed Feature: Enable workspace admins (or users with appropriate permissions) to impersonate or simulate the experience of a user who has direct access to a dataset, even if that user does not have access to the workspace.
