Issue Earlier this year, Microsoft released a new preview version of the Power BI Snowflake connector ("Implementation 2.0"). In the March release of Power BI Desktop, they enabled (as a global setting, not just for individual reports) the new connector by default (even thought it's still in preview). The new connector works fine in Power BI Desktop, but users discovered an issue where when a report was published to the Power BI Service, report refreshes would no longer return data from Snowflake views (tables were fine). Microsoft claims to have fixed this issue, however we see it in the May 2025 PBI Desktop release. Resolution To correct for this, we deselected in this preview feature in Power BI Desktop and removed a reference to "Implementation=2.0" in the Power Query script. When we do this and republish an affected report, the report refreshes in the service and data is present and accurate. This also cleared up another issue I was having where the service claimed there were duplicate rows when there weren't (this was previously fixed also).
